Maybe Bon jovi fans are more honest about the shows than metallica fans?

alot of hardcore fansd of bands could stand and listen to the singer farting down the mic for 3 hours and still say it was the best show ever.

Good point there! MAybe we Bon Jovi fans are too honest about how we feel and think and do many others make their own interpretion of it.

For example that I wrote down I liked the shows, missed the TD songs, hope they play it next time. I also missed runaway. Show was good.

Well some non die hard would say I hadn't a good time, it was ok.
I meant to say great show lots of fun but.....

So it also depends what is written and how!

every1 has a different opinion about everything, i know alot of fans who would be dissapointed if BJ littered the shows with stuff from the first two albums... fact is no matter wot the band do, ppl will always complian about something.

I don't know a single fan who would be disappointed to hear material from the first two albums.

It's very true for a lot of fans. I know of fans who were disgusted by the latest album, but then there were a lot more who said that it was the usual brilliant Metallica.

IMO (I'm a bit exaggerating but...) Metallica shows are meant for diehard fans. Bon Jovi shows are meant for casual fans more than for diehard fans. That's where the difference in setlists and everything comes from.
How many casual fans will want to hear, say, Fear?

Maybe this doesn't make much sense but methinks Bon Jovi should become a bit more selfish when it comes to their shows. They should stop thinking about what will please most people in the audience and play to only please themselves.

Metallica strikes a balance between the casual and die hard. Bon Jovi once used to do that. All they need to do is balance it out. They waste valuable set list space by keeping certain songs that aren't even neccessary.

Sometimes it seems to me that Bon Jovi shows (esp. in the US) are mostly meant for people who only have Cross Road, Crush and Bounce in their CD collection. They add 1-2 "fun" song from the 80s (or Blood on Blood) but that's it.
