Has anyone ripped the files? PM me if you have them, I'd like to see them and MTV.com blocks anyone outside the US.

Thanks,

Ice

I'll be doing that tonight after the premiere of the VH1 version so if you can wait I will have them in the next few days.

This article was posted on another thread, but thought I'd move it here just to give insight on Richie, MTV being anal and actually who was invited to be in the Unplugged audience. I haven't seen any legit reporters contribute to what THEY SAW at Unplugged, this one does (e.g. Sambora seemed to have trouble staying vertical and playing guitar + way more). I'd been looking for someone to talk about what really happened and this is a good source.

You can watch it at MTV.com right now.
That guy from the AAR can't sing worth a crap.

I liked the unplugged version on VH1.

I didn't watch the MTV version last night, but I watched the VH-1 version tonight and I was impressed. I actually got chills a few times. I thought Richie's mike needed to be turned off a few times though. He was screaming, not singing in the background and he did sound intoxicated when he spoke. Shame.

Hmm, I liked All American Rejects guy's voice.

Whatever. I'm glad I actually enjoy most of what they do. Lucky me!

And, just a hypothetical, but I wonder if TLFR hadn't been what it was if we'd hear IML and YGLABN and be impressed?

I thought IML was very good. I'm not too familer with AAR even though I've heard a couple of their songs, I thought they did a good job.

Yes, Richie was not looking so great. It's a shame..but the rest of the band seemed to be on their game. and it didn't seem the disaster that some websites were making it out to be.

Hallelujah gave me chills. I've always loved that song and was thrilled to hear them play it tonight.

Well i taped it and am actually retaping now as VH1 is replaying it and my tape ran out.

From what i saw i dug this performance. Jon sounded really good but i have to agree with the guy who said the AAR guy was bad. But i loved how he bowed down and did the Wayne's World "we're not worthy" thing at the end. Hallelujah was AMAZING! I still haven't seen the Leann Rimes duet cause my tape ran out.

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I'm watching/taping it now.
LOAP was amazing, although Richie is not at his best..
