When this song came out I remember thinking it was a terrible song choice for the first single - especially after I heard Hey God - but could see why they released after the success of Always and Sat night.
Now.....if they had released this version...wow! the rawness, the longer guitar solo and the drumming at the end - it’s all gone from the over produced final product.

Very interesting version of TAALS, but I believe that recording is in the wrong key there, which leads to many people saying it's "better". Obviously it's higher than the final version, but I don't see that Jon of the mid 90s would have lowered it, so I think this was doctored like many of the old bootlegs are. Thanks for the upload!

No not at all. Just a shame that the album version was so different. Shorter solo, drums at the end and raspy vocals. Still great but different.
But I’d love to have had a 2nd disc with all the demos as per the TAALS. But I’m greedy.!

That demo is fantastic, and im stoked to hear it . But its as rough as guts like demos are ..... I love the studio version way better , its perfectly produced .
