Default VH1 Awards Show

The guys did a great job once again. The crowd was singing and the medely of songs was great!!! They played IML followed by Everyday, and then You Give Love a Bad Name.... There was pyro in Bad Name and it made it so awesome. Yet again, an awesome performance!!

BOUNCE,
Ryan

I wanted to throw things at them when they started with Bad Name. LOL I wish they'd stop doing that damn song on public appearances. It does nothing to dispel the idea that they're an 80's band. And if they HAVE to do something from the 80's, why not Prayer or Wanted or a song that has a little bit of meaning beyond fluff.

I think everyone knows Prayer and Wanted too and they don't sound bad live. I've always thought Bad Name sounds awful live. I remember the first time I heard a live version (New Year's Eve 198 I was VERY disappointed and it made me wonder if the band sounded bad on every live song. Sorry, I just hate that song live and the more they do it, the more it annoys me. LOL I think it makes them look like they can't do better than their previous glories and haven't grown much in 16 years. At least a song like Prayer stands up both musically and lyrically over time.

I really enjoyed the performance last night on VH1. The camera had some great shots of the whole band, not just Jon and Richie, which was nice. From watching it I sensed they felt "more comfortable or relaxed" when they performed Bad Name. Maybe the crowd became wilder, I don't know. I suppose doing those kind of shows are not as much fun as a live Jovi show. But, hey the guys looked great and sounded great, too. Loved the shot of Dave when he smiled at the camera.

I forgot that it was on last night and I just HAPPENED to turn the channel at the right time. when Jill Hennesy was introducing them, I was thinking Bon Jovi in the back of my mind, but I am never that lucky to see them!!! I screamed out loud and was soooooo happy
