Default Visting New Jersey

Hello Fellow Fans,
I am visiting Jersey for the first time. Since I am there I would love to visit some hot spots that relate to Bon Jovi, back then or know (even Bruce Springsteen - to make mom happy Do you have any recommendations?
Sayreville, Ashbury Park, Red Bank - have been mentioned but where exactly should I be visiting? Any help, ideas would be GREAT! Thanks in Advance!

It's Asbury Park. Otherwise I don't have recommendations for you. Except watch yourself on the road..those people drive like maniacs..and the roads are mindboggling at times. Stay in NYC..it's safer.

Asbury Park:

Stone Pony, BJ, SSJ and Bruce played there several times.
Fastlane, Jon played there with his early band.

Red Bank:

Count Basie Theatre. BJ had their legendary Christmas concerts there and BJ, Bruce and SSJ played a charity concert there a few years back.

I posted some BJ-related places some time ago here, maybe you find them with the search function of this board. There were some places that were mentioned in a newspaper in 2000.

He's right lol - Jersey drivers are a bit - um - aggressive. And the road signs are famous for not giving the correct information or for giving it too late. Get a good local map and use it. You'll still get lost - just not as often.

Don't forget the Roadside Diner or whatever it was called from Cross Road. That's usually a hotspot for the Jovi spotters.

Aggressive??? They are wackjobs!!! It is crazy out there on the Jersey roads. Beware of circles and no left turns off of the highways. U-Turns rule the land....

Exactly, let's not sugar coat it for them. It's important to instill the neccessary fear.

Definately have a map, you can look at it to verify that you are definately lost instead of being unsure. Carry plenty of cash in small bills. It's easy to wind up getting herded onto the Turnpike or Expressways when you don't want to and wind up paying needless tolls because you keep going the wrong way. Signs mean nothing..they are there for amusement. Driving in NJ is all about just knowing where you are going either by living or working there. Otherwise, God Bless it.

Are there any other specific places to check out than what was mentioned by Sambo-Chris (thank you) are there certain bars, pizza pie jury place, that kind of have a tribute to them?
