I always just assumed that it was the producer guy that spoke on Hey God. But then I always thought that the conversation went something along the lines of:

"You ready?"
"Got gout"
"Let's go"

For that matter, what is it that's being said before Damned? I've never been quite sure, I hear it as "There was something you were singing there that made sense" ... probably completely wrong!
