The voices at the start of Something For The Pain are Jon and (I had always assumed it was) Richie.

Jon: "God save the Queen."
Richie: "Why?"
Jon: " 'Cause she can't swim."

I vaguely remember reading something somewhere about this originally involving placing one of those coins with the Queen on them in your drink and saying that before downing it...
