Wasn't the poll one vote per IP address? How could Bon Jovi fans not have voted legitimately? Also, if Bon Jovi fans are capable of finding ways around the system, are they saying that fans of other bands are too stupid to do the same? If Bon Jovi is still charting #1 albums and top tours, maybe it's simply a matter that Bon Jovi has MORE FANS.

I had to leave a comment:

What a condescending article to close out your poll. It's obvious that your editors are not pleased with the results. Perhaps you're unaware of how big Bon Jovi's fan base remains. Wasn't the poll one vote per IP address? How could Bon Jovi fans not have voted "legitimately?" Also, if Bon Jovi fans are capable of finding ways around the system, are you saying that fans of other bands are too stupid to do the same? So Bon Jovi fans are just smarter than other band's fans?

Consider this--the link was shared on fan sites and Facebook groups. And I'm sure other bands' fans also shared the link on their fan sites and groups. Bon Jovi fans had no unfair advantage to any other fan group other than "strength in numbers."

Bon Jovi is still charting #1 albums in the USA and around the world and their last three world tours have been the #1 tour for those years. They are one of 5 artists who have grossed over a billion dollars in touring revue. Two of those other artists are not American (U2 and The Rolling Stones), one is not a band (Madonna) and the other was defeated by Van Halen in your poll (Bruce). Maybe it's simply a matter that Bon Jovi has MORE FANS.

What a crap article, talk about sour grapes. Glad that's over tbh, they won't be rushing to do such a badly organised poll any time soon.
