Bounce was made to fit into the mainstream which didnt work, and i dont think it appeals to many fans the way earlier albums do.

Actually it did work. I know so many people who love this album even my little sis (whos music taste is stuff like korn) has bought the misunderstood single. I know people who have literialy been brought up on bon jovi rating it there best album. The problem here is theres so much damn negitivity that you start beliving it why do u think i disspeared for awhile.....to doscover if i was still a fan. And i dont think there are much left here anymore esp after the past few days.

If bounce is ultra cheesy then what does that make slippery when wet?
A very clever album that worked well in the 80s!
naw my answer worked batter
Yes well, mine gives a better reply!
Im sorry but any fan who thinks bounce is cheesy must hate slippery when wet. I like sww but u have to admit its cheesy bounce at least strays off the love topic or uses it in differnt ways.
but SWW came out during the "cheesy 80s", lol. It fit the era. Now, Bounce......

These Days is my favorite album, I don't think they were "trying" to be deep and serious, it just came out that way (not that I think it is particularly deep). It is what it is, and yes it is a lot more depressing than SWW, maybe that's why I like it; but I don't think they were trying for that effect, it just happened.

Yeah, but to me the time the album came out does matter, but I may come from a different angle. I bought SWW when it came out. I loved it. I still like it, but I don't listen to it anymore. Sure sometimes a song or two, but not with any regularity. So, when Bounce comes out, I really am not in the SWW mood anymore.

I have to admit, I am astounded by the number of young people that were little kids during the 80s, but totally love the music and listen to it!! I think it is great, but it amazes me nonetheless. So, in saying that, I guess that is more the direction you are coming from, and thus, I totally see your point. If you listen to SWW and don't think it is cheesy, what about Bounce?

Initially, I was upset that there were no TD songs on the album. But then I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that I would not Bon Jovi to change any of the songs off the record. I like them just the way they are.

I would've loved to see at least one track remade, This Ain't a Love Song(one of there best songs) or In these arms or These Days or Guitar Bleeding! one would've been nice. how does everone else stand on this subject??

These days is one of my favorite BJ albums. Towards the end of the tour they were playing TD quite often. But I remember Jon saying in his eyes it was a rather dark album. Maybe thats why they felt they didnt want to do a remake of the song on TLFR? Just a guess.
