I like the Dave Bascombe Mix because there are more talk box effects added (or existing ones are brought to the front of the mix, watever) but I miss the real drums, or what there is of them.

As for W2WUR (JW Mix) aside from the drum fill before the final chorus, there is a difference. REALLY can't quite put my finger on it though. I think the album versions sounds alot warmer than the mix, maybe that's it.

I wonder why they changed the drum fill? Doesn't really make a whole lot of difference or a whole lot of sense.

Not to hijack the thread from already being hijacked, but is there any difference between the album version of The Distance and the single version?

Well, it's labelled as a "single edit" on the single, but I haven't noticed a difference.

single edit usually just means its shorter for radio play...

what is this Jeremy remix? - is this official? i will get it as i am completist but i am also not an apple heroin addict so i do not want to buy some watered-down compressed DRMed version - was it released on disc somewhere? and when?

It is official- it was the version released on the single in the UK/Europe, and (I think) the version in the video.

Yeah it was the version used for the video aswell as that's where I first heard it. It's also on both CD singles.

Might as well nip this in the bud, Who Says You Can't Go Home also had a 'single version' which is shorter and has more of a rock mix.
