In These Arms has a killer chorus, and was a hit single AND is on Crossroad and usually goes down with the crowd well. Fail.

edit - this all just applies to European audiences obviously..

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

I actually agree with him. In These Arms hasn't gone over very well the past few times I've seen them play it.

Aloha !

Yeah where audiences in the rest of the world go nuts on In These Arms, American audiences sort of see it as a filler track, I was surprised about the lukewarm reaction in America. But it was never the big hit over there it was in Europe and it wasn't put on Cross Roads either so it's kind of the a forgotten song over there, I doubt its still geting radio play over there.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

In These Arms still works unfortunately in Europe. I don't like the song either because it lost a lot of power because they downtuned it.

In the US people only like the well-known songs.

I was referring to this "Silent Night would be a snoozefest in the USA when played live"

ITA was a minor hit in the US, was not on US Cross-Roads, and me not liking the chorus is just my opinion.

After Slippery was released, Silent Night became the hit that never was amongst fans. I remember seeing the video on late night TV (not even MTV).

Maybe I'm being nostalgic with the song but Silent Night has more of the Bon Jovi signature than ITA does for me.

After Blaze, Bon Jovi became a different band for US fans. Especially for those who grew up in the 80's from the beginning.

Like I said prior, US fans (not Die Hards) want to hear anything off Cross Roads, IML, Who Say, A few raraties off Slippery &/or Jersey and that's it.

Nothing off TD, Bounce, LH (maybe Memory), or TC

It was a bigger video hit here than radio hit. But aside from rarely on Satellite Radio, it never gets played over here. But to be fair, what gets played on American Top 40 stations shouldn't be a barometer for what good music is. The current music scene over here is horrible.

95% of the US fans are wankers.. Nuff said (and you are one of them).
