We've said it already so Becky doesn't have to come up with such annoying and completely irrelevant arguments since they don't seem to match with the facts about Jon's voice in the past.

Yes, whenever Jon's voice is mentioned, this is her excuse. It had to be said to stop her from saying it.
I understand your (hard) feelings but how would you like someone to predict your thoughts and make fun of them when you didn't even have a chance to freely express yourself?
I mean you could wait for her to speak (she has the right to) and either try to be constructive or simply ignore her rather than being just... well childish... No offense

I could've said it now, or I could've waited until she posted her thoughts. I know what she would've said because she has said the same thing so many times before.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Now, back to the topic.

the problem is not just jon 's voice, which lead their best song in a lower level (right now) but also his attitude (it seems strange but i feel that just dave and tico really stand out in the concerts...)and even richie's attitude on the stage...they do less movement ecc ecc..richie doesn't move out of his place anymore and jon is simply changed on the stage....
if you see bad name on the 20th MTV anniversary it seems just a pop song because their attitude and jon's voice....while even if it has been played in the same way if you see their 80'S PERFORMANCES it really shine ...... SIMPLY THERE 'S A LOT LESS ENERGY PUT ON THE SONGS....

If you'd say what I would say there's nothing offensive about it and childish about it. I could wait to hear her speak if she wouldn't have become predictable by always saying exactly the same by always defending Jonnieboy in all his negative things.

Yeah I noticed this that Tico and Dave seem to be the most dedicated to their performance, and faithfull to their original dig for music when Jon and Richie seem more and more to just be there without giving all they've got... Just compare performances like the Live in London video in 1995 (no need to go further back) and the Crush tour DVD in 2001. As if something happened between These Days and Crush. Is it the solo work? Parenthood ? Did they lose their humility? I don't know but something broke and it's getting urgent to fix it.

I know that, does he? And does he want to do that?

As for live gigs, I agree with you. There's no SHOW anymore. It's just guys going thru the moves.

Well I recently watched their acoustic session in Hamburg, just Jon, Richie, Southside and Bobby Bandiera. You can see their having a great time playing the music, that that sort of music is really a part of them. When I look at live performances of Hook me up, they could make it a hundred times better with some show, as you say. Seems they either forgot who they are or try to be someone else...

As if krb102 and Supersonic are NOT predictable. LMAO.

Pot meet kettle.

I think Jon sounds a lot better now than he did in the 80's.

Believe or not, I've been a fan for 17 years now but had never heard his first solo album fully, Blaze of Glory. Never felt like buying it or listening, don't know why. But I downloaded it recently and am listening to it right now.

Man, what a difference between this and his performances on Crush or Bounce (I won't take TLFR in consideration cause I take it as a non-BJ album...)... There's so much power in songs like Blood Money and Santa Fe. I also hear some hunger and will to prove something, or at least to do more than good enough, which I feel he's also lost.

He's definately lost or let something go, and what it is made his performances better. I hope he can and will do something about it before they come back.

Ponrauil
He is just getting older.... U wouldn't expect most sports stars to continue performing to the standard they did in their late twenties!!
