i happen to love joey, i love story telling tracks, and i can really relate to the lyric of 'getting out here'...but in saying that, for a single it will stink unfortunatly...

Misunderstood was No. 9 in Spain? Wow. I don't know exactly but I think here in Germany it even wasn't in the Top 30 or Top 20.

The key to success is not the quality of a song, but whether or not it gets airplay. I think ANYTHING could be a hit if it got enough airplay. For evidence, I say look at anything created by J.Lo or Nelly.

Not necessarily... the only reason J.Lo and Nelly are getting so much airplay is because they're "hot topics". Bon Jovi hasn't really been a hot topic lately

If J.Lo or Nelly released the worst songs in the world (like their songs could GET any worse... but here's hypothetically speaking! lol) it would still get more airplay than Bon Jovi. It's My Life got a lot of airplay because it's a catchy song. Everyday didn't... because it's not as catchy. Unfortunately, for Bon Jovi, they need a super-catchy song to get the attention of the media.

no 35 in germany. Was jus looking on a site did you know that everyday went to no1 in the world top 100?.

Joey won't be a good single, now one that listen to "pop" or "rock" radiostations want's to hear a five minute (quite slow) story-rocksong (or at least close...).

Misunderstood was a hit in the united states, yes, but nothing in the rest of the world (with some small exceptions). release bounce or hook me up!

however I reckon the distance would be BJ's best bet.....also Hook me up or bounce would do well
