I really really hope that it's rockier. And also that there's a free DVD for the tribal women in the Amazon.

That Richie's guitar stuff will get a bigger influence, harder/louder Riffs, and a whole lot off power cords, crispering soloes and well writen lyrics.
I hope it will be something like the NJ and KTF, this is 16 and 12 years old records, but still the to I listen the most to.
Maybe a song perfomanced by Richie, and then a dvd with some live stuff.

Well, we know of three tracks right now...

Have A Nice Day
Last Man Standing
Thief of Hearts

Ok, so I listen to all three songs and see..... A bright light in the future? Most would say Bounce and TLFR were huge flops. I agree with TLFR, but Bounce?!? I do concur... There was a bright light with many of the songs, just too many, pussy songs?? I hear LMS and TOH were re-recorded and edited drastically. I'm excited... I expect more power, less pussy.

Where did you hear that TOH is on the new album? Unless I missed something..that's incorrect. Just because Last Man Standing is on the new album doesn't automatically mean TOH will follow. I'm looking forward to hearing the fleshed out Last Man Standing...I couldn't care less about Thief of Hearts.

Well, I want that Bon Jovi edge back full-time. They tasted the soil with Crush and returned part-time. Now I want them to come back full-time.

I am expecting a whole lot from this album. I'm still hoping it to be everything Keep the Faith was, as Bleeding Purist said a ballad complements a rocker and vice-versa. Keep The Faith does a great job my opinion. Rocking most of the album, with the occasional slower paced song in between. I don't have the time to make a whole post about what I expect, but let me say that Have A Nice Day has given me great hope. I'm singing it a lot even though I almost never listen to it and I can safely say this is the sort of music I like most from BJ. It could have come right off of Keep The Faith and I'm very glad with that! Very rocking, with that extra vibe shining through. to compare, I don't think it's my life had that vibe, neither did Bad Name or Bad Medicine...it's something in the vein of free world and good guys, it just starts and rocks all the way through. Know what I mean? Also even only in this one verse and chorus we heard, there's an amazing sense of build-up. Have a Nice Day shows to me that Jon knows exactly what kind of songs he wants to write, and let's face it, that's the way Jon writes the hits. The rest of the album will have more of the soul that Bleeding Purist is looking for I think.

Oh and the only thing that could be lacking then is that only half of the album is any good, but I'm also confident that the rest of the album will be of the same quality that Have A Nice Day is, because he said in this interview from a month back or something that he was letting some hurt shine through. So it seems he still has plenty to write about and not the shitty things that no-one cares about, but the things that matter to Jon himself, the way he looks at life... he has always wanted to sort of prove himself in a way. Sort of like the lyrics from I Believe and Good Guys, these are the strong songs, the songs in which he believes from a lyrical point of view. These songs are always full of confidence, the "here, try to put me down of you want" songs.

Enough already I'm looking forward to hearing it!

I don't have to many expectations cause then I might be dissapointed. But I hope it will be rocky. Not to many balleds but some songs that kick ass. That would be wonderfull.

We will see

I was going to type something but you took the words right out of my mouth. I think they are pretty happy with this album and thats why they wanted to show it off so early.. They've said in interviews that they've found something new and theres a good chance this song is just a taste of the sort of songs we'll be hearing.

It's almost like they came on here and checked up on what we liked and didn't like about Bounce. Less cheese in the lyrics, much more upbeat and rocky and not quite as accomodating to Jon's voice as some of the Bounce songs were (which is good IMO).

I expect the album to rock, considering that Have a Nice Day rocks. I also expect it to be progress from Bounce. I want it to be somewhat different from what I've heard from Bon Jovi so far. Even though I love Bounce almost to the point of obsession, I don't want another (partially because I already have my Bounce and partially because I'm sick of the complaining about it). I'm kind of hoping for a KTF/NJ hybrid with something new mixed in.
