I am intrigued how the oompas keep saying it is not just acoustic guitars but something completely different. Don't know whether to be excited or scared
Anyway one good thing is this album has not had all of the hype we had pre-Bounce so my expectation level anyway is not sky high. I hope it surprises some people (that would be elitist music critics) with how talented these men are and maybe pick up some new fans along the way. I don't expect the younger fans will be too thrilled to be honest- my teenager was less than overwhelmed at the prospect of a non rocking Jovi album. But I think some older, classic rock fans out there may pick up on this if it is good. Rod Stewart picked up my inlaws (in their 70's LOL!) as fans with his recording of standards so maybe a more mellow Jovi will appeal to those just older (ok, not as old as my inlaws) looking for some new great music. We shall see.

think your're right (I`m as scared as I was before Bounce beeing afraid of crush the 2nd). Maybe they'll apeal to "older" ones who despretly search good music but maybe also some people around 20 may get to know bj better, you know all those "shit I`m to old for Britney what am I listening ot know?" poeple that search real music (thank goodnes I already loved bj before that age )

Absolutely, I wasn't referring to young college age and young adults as much as the teenagers Bon Jovi have picked up along the way. Maybe I am not giving them enough credit but my 15 year old finds acoustic Bon Jovi a bit boring (give her time- she will grow up-LOL!) and really is not excited about this album like she was about Bounce. But once she hears it she may love it- she is pretty open to anything musically. I think with kids it depends on radio play- if one of the new songs is a hit than they will love it. Otherwise they won't even be aware of it.

sure how should they recognize the album if theres no hit

but well that case it might be our duty to inform everyone in scool or work (or both) about the CD *g* oh and take our mp3 players or discmans with us in busses etc. and play it loudly so everyone hears it *g*

Yes, we need to spread the word for sure.

but it's not going to be a real accoustic album, think thats what we all discuss about, they experimented thats the problem or well maybe the good think thats the question. If it was normal accoustic there wouldn`t be anything to wonder about.

that`s for sure, like at every bon Jovi album (even if I`d never understand how one can hate a jovi album, even got used to crush lol)

I want to hear how they do It's My Life acoustically. Can they pull it off the way "Prayer" was re-done?

Born to be my Baby would also go well acoustically.

So, as a fan, I have high expectations and anything they do will be all right with me, as long as they put in the effort.

I just hope they stay on top of their game after this one. How will they tour behind this? Acoustically? That might send them back to the dumps (commercially speaking) which I would hate to see.

Keep on touring boys!
Come back to the thrilla in Manila!

I'm of the opinion that all this speculation about what might or might not be on the album is all a bit daft. Wait and see is the best bet. However, since we're all dreaming....if they are going back through their old songs and reworking some of them, I'd like to see a version of "We all Sleep Alone" .....written by Jon, Richie and Mr Child....originally recorded with Cher singing. I've got a version Richie did on his first solo tour, and it's amazing.
