Love it...one of my favorites off Crush. People keep pairing it with She's a Mystery and aligning it along with that song, Save the World and I Got the Girl as the throw aways on the album. Strongly disagree with all of that. So it doesn't rock out....whatever. I'm not a fan of albums that are non-stop up tempo hard rock from beginning to end...I need variety and the song offers a good break without slowing it down to say the level of "Thank You For Loving Me."

It seems to me the problem with people on this board that don't like the song is simply because they expect something else instead of letting shine for what it is. Kind of reminds me of Def Lep's song, Hysteria as an analogy. I was in my mid teens and I expected a title track like that to be a hard rocker. So I didn't appreciate it at all based on that even though it was a very "enchanting" and moody song...top notch. Def Leppard's own "Comfortably Numb" in terms of soothing effect and magical guitars.

It definately would shine in an acoustic setting as opposed to a stadium. It would have been a stand out if they did MTV Unplugged officially. I wouldn't want it to just be Jon and Richie on acoustic guitars though...I'd want everyone doing their thing on the song.

they played it in the yoko acoustic gig didnt they? i think they also played 'u had me from hello' too i think, which is a decent acoustic ballad i guess...i dunno how they sounded tho.

i agree on yr first point about ppl expecting...sometimes i feel being so assumptious on anything, person or music can give a detrimental viewpoint frmo the off.

Love it. One of the best on Crush.

I love it! Great lyrics, great melody. Nice piano in the background. No one in the band is on an ego trip and that really suits the song.

When Crush came out I was in love and she was really a "ride on a mystery train". It really fitted. It's stilll one of my favourite tunes on Crush. The only thing I dislike is the weak sound of the drums, live (from Osaka 2000) it's much much better!
