Only a perfect dim-wit would go into a rock bands concert thinking they just saw a solo act.

Well sure, only a perfect dim-wit would go into a show thinking they'd already seen it.

But, has everyone had the same experience with a variety of different concerts? What is it about Bon Jovi that screams BAND and... say Bryan Adams or John Mellancamp that screams SOLO ARTIST? Tim McGraw has toured as Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors. So, is it a band or a solo artist? When Bruce was touring with the E Street Band, was he a solo artist, or were they a band?

Why is it so hard to believe someone couldn't be confused, especially given that the lead singer's last name is the name of the band and half the merchandise has Jon's face only?

I'm certainly not confused over the difference, but I don't find it inconceivable that someone else couldn't be confused. Like I said before,
if this person was confused, and if she cares enough about it, she'll correct herself in future posts and refer to Jon as HE and Bon Jovi as THEY. But who knows if she cares....

Re: IP address checking. It's pretty useless. Every ISP uses DHCP which allocates IPs dynamically on an as needed basis. If you're on dial-up with a large ISP you'd be lucky to be allocated the same IP twice. Even someone on broadband may not have the same IP if they reboot their hardware. If I had a dollar for every time I've been to a site with a poll and it's told me "Your IP has already voted on this topic" I'd have... well, about 12 bucks, but you get the point.

Why is it that every thread turns into a load of arguments or personal qoutes ,instead of addressing the actual topic?

The reason I feel that I didn't need to correct myself about calling Jon Bon Jovi Jon is because that is how I refer to the band and always have. I feel that when you appreciate the entire band as much as I have over 15 years, I have the right to say Jon or Bon Jovi or Jon Bon Jovi and know that I am referring to the entire band. I know the band as much as any other person that is a big fan of JON (meaning the whole band if you can handle that). So, next time I may say Jon or bon jovi if that is alright with you. I thought this was a website to meet people who love bon jovi, not have to defend oneself after posting a reply.

That was your first mistake. This web site is sort of like a frat house... you have to dive in and be prepared to be hazed. But, stick around. It's my personal favorite Bon Jovi site--you can say what you think moreso than at Backstage.

And Richie did sing Living on a Prayer. It surprized me too. At first, I was bummed because I wanted to hear it sung by Jon, but Richie did an awesome job! Once I heard some of it I was singing along and pumped as ever. He has the audience sing the refraine and he sang the verses.
