It's bit of a vague question anyway. Are you talking as a man/an artist/a singer/a songwriter etc, etc?

He's ok I suppose. There's worse guys/musicians/songwriters/singers/actors/businessmen out there. What kind of answer are you looking for?

Nickolai, I get where you wanted to go with this post yet everyone is making this more difficult than this should be.

I do miss the old Jon but I don't dislike the new one.

He's accomplished everything he ever wanted to accomplish. He still wants the big hit but he's not going to kill himself to get there. Hes more about the money now. I still think he's cool and has talent. He will surprise us with something big one day. It's not over yet. He needs to go balls out vocally.

I think he is not making a good job right now. It was stupid to put as a single When we were beautifull, Supermant Tonight, He should have post his best song like Love is the only Rule and other.

The guy is hugely talented, let there be no doubt about that. Nevetheless, i feel he fails many times in showing his talent when it comes down to interviews. Each time you hear the guy, he is always giving you that same polished corporate pr kinda answers. I feel he could be a bit more relaxed.

What strikes me also is the fact he is not vey aware of current rock acts. When asking him about such things, he keeps refering to green day, aerosmith and other bands that have also become well established band. So i miss a music fan side about him.

And last : he just can't hold back from telling in each and every interview how they had the biggest tour, how many records they sold, how many number one hits they had etc. Its like wanting to state that every time so that people just wouldn't forget. That's a bit annoying. But, then each time saying it in a way that does make it sound like he doesn't care too much for it. That makes it a bit hypocrit. So there i would say ... as an artist and business guy... a nice backtrack is cool but let others complement you on it, rather than stating it over and over again yourself. What you should do is look at the future, dream and be great today.

My advice to jon is... relax, be fun and just continue to do what you do. But dont forget to make the behavioural switch : when you are in for business or fundraising, its ok to have that seriousness. When you are jon, the frontman of this huge band, light up, relax, be fun and be rock n roll. And smash a guitar from time to time (cfr. Green day) ... its a fun rock n roll way to remind people who you are and great publicity. Put the boy back in cowboy and put your rock back in rock n roll.

It is true he takes himself very seriously these days. Granted he's older and a very succesful businesman but I do wish he'd lighten-up a little in some interviews. He always seemed up for a laugh until around the Bounce era. That was endearing.

Er, no actually I know he has his faults and the recent albums are nowhere near what they used to be, but I also know he's not the devil incarnate like some make him out to be.

The question needed expanding on.

We know that will never happen and that's ok. He does flip out at times - see the whole Bucharest Dry County incident where he spat and showed some girl the middle finger but overall, I am glad he's always been mature enough to stay away from some of these clichιs like smashing a guitar.

What annoys me is how manufactured he appears. The same 'Bobby, put a corner in the jukebox' bullshit. The same cover songs each time, the same moves, the same bullshit acting teach time. Come on Jon, be a little more spontaneous. I loved the fact that they played Rock you Like a Hurricane in Munich - more of that please. Yet it's something extraordinary when it happens, while it should be plain normal. That's what he lacks and what annoys me - Spontaneity. I'm just fed up with the repetitive corporate bullshit that runs out of him and that's the same live, in interviews and on his ****in' albums. And you can tell that's a problem, when moments of spontaneity become concert highlights or album highlights. And Jon - that's not OK and eventually, people will be fed up with it more than they are now!

Jon is in good shape. They were headliners in iHeart Radio Music Festival, but Jon got sick so they were replaced by Green Day. Although he achieved to perform and not dissapoint the fans who were few inside the festival! He wasn't good during the performance but I think he will be very good again in the next World Tour in 2013
