What do you think of Bounce?

I like Bounce. When I first got it, I listened to it once and left it alone for a few months. I took it back out before the Bounce Tour to familiarize myself with the songs, and found that I liked it alot better. I haven't listened to any Bon Jovi for a few months...but I've recently been thinking about listening to them, and thought that Bounce is the one I would listen to. I just haven't yet.

IMO, Bounce is better than Crush. And I like ballads as much as anyone else but really not so many on the same cd. IMO, if there are more than 2 ballads per cd then it ain't rocking enough. Bounce, Undivided, Hook Me Up, and AALY were my favorites from Bounce. I am one of the few that just didn't get into The Distance. I wish Another Reason to Believe had made the cut. It's a good song.

I think Bounce is a good album. I’d rate it 6-7/10 but I also think it could have been much better with another production.
I think sometimes Richie’s sound is too heavy not because I don’t like heavy songs (i.e. I love If I was Your Mother and Hey God) but sometimes I find the sound a little too raw….it leaves a strange bad taste in my mouth…something like “yes great but it could sound much better”. IMO the only song where this kind of sound works is Hook me up.
All About Loving You shows they’re not in the mood to write ballads these days and Right Side Of Wrong says a lot about today’s Jon’s movie attitude.
I like very much Joey (to me clearly a "Levon" inspiration) …a pleasant come back to “storytelling songs”.
To compare Bounce and Crush I’d say that Bounce is an album and Crush is just a collection of songs….anyway the average quality of Bounce songs IMO is higher than Crush.

I like it better now than I did when it came out. I guess that's because I don't expect too much out of it now when I do listen to it. There are some really good songs (The Distance, Hook Me Up) and some others that are embarrassingly bad (You Had Me From Hello, Open All Night). I still don't listen to it all that much.

Hmm... There are some good songs on it, but all the ballads sucks!

It hasnt great songs, only decent songs. And too many (and crap) ballads. Their worst album since Slippery.

I think its a nice experiment that fell a little short of the mark. A take in a new direction, experimenting with heavier songs, orchestra (yeah, I know they've used them before), and epic balladry (Right Side Of Wrong and Joey). But the fact that it was kinda watered down for the mainstream was what made it miss its mark a tad. I stil reckon it'd be a nice direction for the next album to carry on in though

I like the album, don't listen to it very often. I think there are a lot of great songs on the album.
