1) Lay down your instruments and leave it to proffessionals.
2) If anything like a follow-up to LH is considered, please do everyone a favor and call it quits.
3) Best idea - take another 4-5 year break and come back re-energized.

i suggest a new avenue completely and they should make a blues album....can show off richie's guitar skills to the full plus some decent lyrics are sure to get written...

more richie and jon singing together would be great too...

1. Concert dates in the South on weekends.
2. Another box set including the demos that weren't on the first one and an assortment of rare live songs (Cadillac Man, Shooting Star, Keep Me Hanging On, My Funny Valentine, Silent Night (Christmas), Little Drummer Boy, The Soul Truth, You Belong to Me).

I'm with Becky on wanting a boxset with all the stuff that was left off. I would also love it if they issued a few of their better, older concerts such as Hammersmith Odeon 1990 - and perhaps a few others that are noteworthy.

I don't think it's realistic to ask guys of their age (keep in mind that Tico is about 55) to take 5 years off. If they stay out of the mainstream for that long it will be curtains.

And lastly - you cannot request artistic inspiration on demand. I'd like to hear any new music they make. That doesn't mean that I will like it - but I will at least listen. I thought that several songs would grow on me on the Lost Highway album. They didn't - as a matter of fact there are now only a few songs that I will even listen to from that release. That particular album just didn't hold up for me at all. However there is lots more music out there and they don't have to hit every one out of the park for me to enjoy them.

Next year will be 20th anniversary of New Jersey album, so IŽd like it to get a similar treatment as SWW did. All the videos included and 5.1 mix with some added stuff here and there. Or like Def Leppard did with Hysteria, make a 2 disc edition of it with all the b-sides (live clips, although there werenŽt that many of them) from that era.

Pretty much all been said. Another one who wants more boxset goodness here.

A live boxset in the vein of that Springsteen one would be good - focussing more on the 88-95 era would be good.

And yeh getting something like the complete Hammersmith Odeon gig would be amazing.

Also think Richie is crying out to do a solo record soon, seems like the right time, what with all that's been going on.

-A double-disc 20th Anniverary issue of New Jersey. Remastered/extended first disc, second disc with demos and rare live songs from the Jersey era.

-A one-of show performing all of NJ.

-Access All Areas and An Evening With... on DVD.

-A DVD of all the band's videos.

-A 2 or 3 disc live set with concerts from different eras.

-That the band keeps making the music they want to make, no matter what anyone (including myself) thinks.

It's highly unrealistic to expect Jon to hit the high notes like he used to...as much as we hate to admit it,he is getting older and his voice isn't holding up as well as we would like...if anything,I think he has learned to adapt to this(change the key songs are sung in,avoid the really high notes),in a way he has become a smarter singer by adapting to how his voice is these days...

The extra musicians don't bother me too much as long as they are not over used,I like to hear alternate versions of songs as long as I know it's not a permanent change and I don't think it is a permanent change in this case(apart from the TLFR ballads)...The Stones have been using extra musicians for years and after seeing them live this year I can safely say it does not take away from the performance of the core band...

I would have expected them to take a break but with the 25th anniverary coming up I doubt it's gonna happen..doesn't 25 years qualify them for the Hall Of Fame?...

I would love another box set but I think that and a live cd is unlikely at the moemnt...I expect the greatest hits to be released first but whether or not we get a tour in support I don't know...I did expect a similar situation to the Crossroad and These Days tours where they released These Days directly between the 2 tours and one melded into the other but that would mean touring for the best part of 2 years..they probably could end the Lost Highway tour around september then release the GH in time for xmas then start the GH tour after xmas but I think it's highly unlikely that they will tour that way again...last time time they did something like was between 2000 and 2001 for Crush and One Wild Night but it's gotta be tough being on the road for that lenght of time even with the breaks they normally take...
