Default What does everyone think of the name BOUNCE now

I remember everyone complaining about the name of the album, saying Bounce sounded too much like "bubble gum pop". Now that everyone has the album, do the majority like/dislike the name of the album. If so, what name would you have picked, such as a name of a song on the album etc.

I think the name "Still Standing" would have been a brilliant title and summed up the album beautifully, but as it never made the album I guess I cant really choose that.

What would others have called it?

There was so much fuss about this !
We can imagine that it's not ridiculous or anything like that, see the success !
Still standing was one of my fav ideas, but Bounce is definitely the best !

I never had a problem with it in the first place. I really thought it was ridiculous for people to judge the sound of the album based on a nondescript title. New Jersey, Cross Road, Keep the Faith... none of those titles scream out "ROCK!"

I liked the title "Bounce" right away... I have no problems with it, and I think that it's a cool title for a cool album... Besides "Elvis is dead and we are not", it's the best one they could've come up with, IMO.

I agree that Still Standing would've been a cool name for the album, firstly in reference to 9/11 and secondly, in reference to the fact that the band are still going strong after all these years.

I don't mind Bounce though, it sounds fine.

Hmmmm.... I seem to remember starting a lot of trouble when the title was first announced ...in fact, my first ever post on this board was entitled "Bounce- who comes up with this stuff?" Oooops. But now that its out, I love the title.....the excellent title track helps a great deal of course. If it had exactly the same tracklist, I always liked the title that I made up: "Irreversible".....but I think that Undivided would make a good title track, or maybe even The Distance....hell, Right Side Of Wrong would probably be pretty cool as well. But no, I like Bounce, can't really imagine it as anything else

i still hate the name, but man what an album!!
i'm still sticking to "sex sells, ... we sell more!"
or just "sex sells"
would have done the album more justice!!
