It's not band it's "Rock me", him yelling "Rock Band" doesn't make any sense.

And to be honest, I always thought that Jon said "Rock Band", until I remembered to ask in this forum.
Hearing it again, it's clearly "Rock Me".

It's never sounded like anything but "Rock me!" to me. Perhaps one day I'll share what I used to think the words to Livin' on a Prayer were though.

EDIT: Although I guess Jon does pronounce it "Rock meh" which could lend itself to some confusion. But it's like singing "bay-beh" rather than "bay-bee".
