What ever happened to Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi?

I really hope they do have it so you can get tickets online without having to camp out. I have never been able to buy a fc ticket in my life! I know you haven't either Becky!

And speaking of Mary Beth and a few others... some are VERY rude over there. The latest is that they don't think non fan club people should be allowed to stay at the same hotel as those on the fan club trip. Can you believe that? I really don't enjoy posting there that much Of course there are some really nice people on there but for the most part I read a bit there and spend my most time here.

I'm not a member (nor have I had a desire to be) of Backstage but I found this website a year or so ago and have been totally obsessed with it ever since. I find myself checking for new posts several times a day and aside from the slight bickering that goes on now and then everyone here seems to be very welcoming and talks about things that genuine fans of the band actually care about. In my opinion if backstage does shut down Dry County should become the new official Bon Jovi fan club, I'm sure some of the people around here could take the snobs down a few pegs!

Wow...just wow. How would you even enforce something like that? Make the hotel ask for a fan club number when anybody books a room around the Giants dates?

There are only some that feel that if you aren't on the trip why would you want to stay at the same hotel as the fanclub trippers are. There have been some fanclub members who weren't on the fanclub trips in the past who "crashed" the trip & there lies the problem. That has been the biggest complaint that, that doesn't happen again. No one can stop anyone from staying at that particular hotel the fanclub trippers know this, but "some" do and they have an agenda & thats why they choose to stay at the same hotel.

For what they're charging the people to attend the fan club trip, the fan club probably could pay for the whole hotel to be members only. LOL

That'd be nice to know the money is at least paying for something. I don't know how they sleep at night knowing how much they charge.

They sleep comfortably on their piles of money. Bills only though...don't want to choke on a dime in the middle of the night

I used to post there all the time but then they changed it to fan club only and i refuse to pay $40 or what ever it is now just to access a website. Being a european fan the only benefits i got was the news letter when they done it and access to golden circle tickets, wich is a joke when you consider that they are dearer than the rest of the other tickets, You are already paying to be a fan club member should they be the same price as the general standing tickets?

As for fan club trips and meet and greet oppertunites i couldnt afford them even if i tried, so no point being in the fan club anymore.

Oh some of those people on that site are crazy! They think they work for the band the way they try to "protect" them from any rumors.. um thats why the band has a publicist! They definitely have way too much time on their hands and they get off on harassing and bullying other people. It's very sad. I used to go on there, but ended up getting in so many fights with mary beth and her other psycho friends over stupid stuff. I finally realized that she wasn't worth my time and energy and found a board that actually let you talk about something relating to bon jovi besides how jon's butt looks in jeans!

Sadly people who are really obsessive, don't *see* themselves that way...they just see everyone else as running off at the mouth when they try to point it out to them...the thing about backstage that irritated me more than anything else [even more than the obsessives] is that, if Mrs. B were infact, actively involved in the board itself [read: aware of posts, read them, occasionally posted] then allowing people to become vicious, spiteful, rude to others was, and is, in my opinion, a deplorable state of affairs [there or anywhere] and said a LOT more to me about them than the rest of us...hence my withdrawal from the FC a few years ago [coupled with the fact that living here in Oz...makes about as much sense being a backstage fc member as walking through a desert without water]
