Does anyone know this Mary Beth character in real life or have seen her? What's the person behind the nickname like?

stop being such a vicious bunch of assholes. I like backstage and I like the girls you hate.

I am Australian and I can tell you the benefits are NIL here. You Europeans get sooooo damm much yet you still bitch and moan and carry on like a pack of pork chops about it.

Noone was saying about non FC members staying at the hotel that was about FC members not on the trip choosing that hotel (oh co-incidence) NOT to stay at. Why would you wanna be a hanger on? Have some dignity I say and choose a different hotel.

I am a member of BS and I have not been able to use my membership for anything other than using the boards and now going on the fanclub trip. I have met some really great people there. Some that I would consider some of the best friends I have. For me that made it worth my $40. They are not taking any new memberships because the current memberships are only good until the end of the tour, most likely in August, and not for a whole year. To keep people from complaining that they paid full price for only a few months they closed the membership. I know this for a fact as I have been in contact with the fanclub regarding the issue. They are not saying the fanclub is closing, only that Mrs. B is retiring as she has some health concerns and she deserves to rest now. She has put a lot of time and effort in to the fanclub over the years. While it might not have been run perfectly to some people, it has been run in a way that has worked best for the majority. I have had my run ins with Mary Beth and her gang and I do think they should take them down a peg. I also know that they are pretty good friends with Mrs. B and they think that their superior attitudes are well founded. And I have seen a pic of her and Donna with Mrs. B. I am sure that Mrs. B does read the boards and I know that she comes into chat and I wish she would make them stop. I have seen times when Mary Beth has gotten out of hand and I really think that she must have gotten a serious reprimand from Mrs. B for it as she seemed rather docile and nice for a while after. Not that holy terror doesn't resume after a short time of peace. I know she was very harsh toward the fanclub when they announced the GA seating for the summer shows and she got very reprimanded for it. They are big voice on the boards and have managed to run off alot of members with their bashing, but they are still the minority. Most of the people on those boards are very nice and helpful. I am looking forward to going on the fanclub trip and I did read the posts about the hotel deal. It was meant for non-fanclub trippers, meaning mebers that didn't pay for the trip, not for non-fanclub members. After paying $800 for the trip, I surely wouldn't want people that didn't pay to enjoy for free what I paid alot of money for. I don't care if the members that aren't on the trip stay there though.

After this tour, they may restructure the fanclub, its operations and maybe even the boards. I would like to be able to buy my fanclub tickets online without having to camp out all night, but I hear the campouts are great fun and selling them at the venue is the best way to keep scalpers from getting the tickets and selling them at high prices. They also only set aside a select number of tickets just for the fanclub and they are meant for the local members mostly unless others want to travel for them. If people can buy them online, then it could mean that alot of the local members miss out on the good seats for their local concert. Also remember that the fanclub has to make arrangements with the venue and the promoters to make special allowances for the fanclub and they do work hard at it. They try to make it as easy as possible for the members. But no matter how much someone does, it will never please everyone.

Why do members who live near where the band play deserve more than members who live far away from anywhere the band plays? They don't. Someone in MS or Wyoming or west Texas pays JUST AS MUCH as someone in NJ/PA. When the band does 6 shows a tour in the same little state like NJ, then it's the SAME PEOPLE getting the benefits over and over again. Ticketing should be fair for ALL members, not just the ones who are geographically blessed.
