¿What is going on with “Misunderstood”?

The video has cracked the top 20 on VH1 in USA. I have yet to see it on MTV. You can also view the video online at www.launch.com

I've talked to a lot of people who really like the song (some of which usually stick their noses up whenever I mention Bon Jovi). I think it may be more appealing to some then past songs like It's My Life because it actually has sort of a hip feeling to it. There's remnants of a punk song there, at least with the guitar part. It doesn't matter...great song (not a bad choice for a single...perhaps not the best, but not bad).

I liked the song, i like the Cd, but i can`t understand the fans, what are they waiting, why the people doesn't buy the album, in my country (Chile) Everyday, was Nº 1 last week, what's wrong with Bon Jovi in the States, what's wrong in Europe.

Misunderstood is probably my favorite song on the new album. In Minneapolis, I've been doing all I can to try and get the radio stations to play it, but nobody's biting. I just don't get it. Yes, it's a cheesy song, but no more cheesy than Vanessa Carlton or Michelle Branch. Of course, I'm not sure Bon Jovi is looking to compete with those two talented artists, but he song is catchy, Jon's voice sounds good and people can relate to it.

Maybe the problem is that it is more of a "girly" type song that is actually for the guys and that guys are less likely to call in and request a rather light song.

It's being played on VH1. I usually see it early in the morning when I am getting ready for work. I actually look forward to the days I have to work at 7 am because I know I usually get to see a Bon Jovi video and a Goo Goo Dolls video. :P
