Mummy ought to take you down a peg, you precosious little brat! Re-interpreting the old stuff is still creative, and you are not going to get improved quality of songs by demanding they write to your time frame. Where's your contribution to music big shot?
Say something smart before trying to sound superior.

Just goes to show that it was a casing-in-record. For a real thing they would've spent time on it, made sure it was something special. Now it was just there because the record company wanted to make more money. I'm glad it failed, otherwise we would've gotten more of the same shit. I'm still not convinced about the new album, it was recorded way too fast for Bon Jovi.

You and me both......I'm afraid it's going to be business as usual..but I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt until I hear it. When I sit down and play the Have A Nice Day clip and Last Man Standing while imagining how they might beef it up.. the two songs alone do seem to make for a good album. That's optimism. But at the same time.there are the other warning signs of a piece of slop that continues the same Crush/Bounce "creative" track.

I liked it as an idea but as you said, they recorded it in something like 20 days? It surely sounds like it was, shit that is.

When the box set was released I was quite excited about the new album, but then I remembered the hype before Bounce, "It´s going to be loud, stadium rock." And look how it turned out. And now they´re saying that same shit. So, I try not to get too excited about the new album. I´d rather be positively suprised than very disappointed.

Donna, it's easy to say follow another band but that is not the point. I have enjoyed this band for the past 17 years now and will be a fan of theirs forever. Just because people might complain about their music now, doesn't mean that they are not fans but mainly that they are disappointed fans. Could Bounce have been better? in my opinion yes and so could have Crush. For me, their last great album was These Days. Now when the new CD comes out, will I buy it? you bet because I am a fan. Does it mean, I will automatically like it because it's Bon Jovi? no but I am a fan with a mind. I am not the kind who says, I don't care if they sing the phone book, as long as we get music. I want music but I want good music.

Having outside interests doesn't bother me but it's when those outside interests overtake the band. It was happening with Jon's movies. During the ninities, you could see that Jon was more interested in movies then he was in music. He even said it himself. Now the movie roles have dried up and so it's back to music. He now has his football team which is great of him but how much promotion he has done for the team. Where was the promotion for TLFR or the boxset? nothing. Yeah, yeah I know that it was only for the diehard but it really does seem like it's no big deal for them now. Of course it's different when it comes to the team, Jon is everywhere with that team.

Another thing that gets to me is the touring. Yes, I understand that they have families and now their priorties are different and so I do not fault them at all for cutting down their schedule. No one wants another breakdown like in the eighties but only when it comes to touring do I see they have families now they want too see. When they are not touring, is Jon with his family? he is busy, promoting the Soul Team, he is going on location making a movie, he is busy supporting John Kerry. No one even brings up his family then, why is he with his family? only when it comes to touring, do we see, they want to spend time with their family.

Anyone who just comes to a messageboard to cause trouble is much more pathetic than someone who actually has an opinion.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise my opinions only counted if they agreed with yours.

Where did I say anything about my opinion? Or yours for that matter? You really should learn to read.

And like I said, it's sad that you had to go through the trouble of registering just to get back at Seb.

As to your opinions, we couldn't possibly know. That is, unless you've already posted here under a different alias and are too spineless to spew your insults using that name. Once a backstabber, always a backstabber.

Oh What more do people WANT from him? I am dead serious with this question. Some will say they want him to focus all of his attention on the music and make it better. Better then what? Again, if the music is not up to some peoples standards, then maybe they should find a new band to follow.

You know I don't want anything from JON besides,
a great performance when he hits that stage...
I like BOn Jovi for the music, ( i connect with but don't always agree but if i liked everything they did then I would be from another planet :P )

But People do change and so do the way people think.
Jon isn't a young lassie anymore.. he's grown up and looks at things differently now... this isn't the 80's anymore , It's 2005.
yes the olde r stuff is Great!! but I also gotten older and things have changed with me.... I liek certin music and others I outgrew...
Now I don't go to Soul games just becasue it supports JON,
I don't go to every thing JOvi does.

Just give me the MUSIC!!! wether it be new , old or recent...
That's why I'm here...
I may not agree with the choices but hey, It's His life and His band..

he can do whatever the heck he wants to do

Stephanie,

Do you realize that Philadelphia is commuting distance from Jersey? Jon could drive to Philly and back every day like many other people who work a regular job. You know you can fly in and out of a town for a football game on the same day and sleep in your bed that night, depending on what time the game is. The movie he filmed didn't shoot for months at a time and he didn' travel across the country with John Kerry. He showed up for a few days here and there. Air travel... it's a wonderful thing.

Becky
