Default What is This ainīt a lovesong video about?

Iīm just watching MTV Germany where they show a "Bon Jovi Clipography" hosted by the band. They were talking about "This aint a lovesong", and they said, that they never really understood what this video is about. Well, it was the first time I saw the video and I also didnīt get the story of it. So can someone help me out please?

Thanks and KTF

I think it was just too damn hot in Thailand, no one was thinking clearly, and they made a really dumb video. I guess it's supposed to be about this guy finding his lost love or his love child or something along those lines.

Personally, I think some of the videos from These Days are worse than the early videos. They don't have the excuse of being young and dumb for them! LOL

Becky - I agree, I don't like TAALS vid, however I personally think that These Days is one of (if not the) BJ's best videos.

Oh, I meant the album, not the song. The video for These Days is one of the better ones for that CD. However, TAALS and Lie to Me are two of the worst videos they've ever done. Lie to Me takes the cake. They have no excuse for it being as bad as it is. I hope they never use that director again.

I don't like any of the "movie-videos" where they tell these strange little story nobody understands and nobody is interested in. But actually if you take the TAALS video and cut out the movie parts, then you have a pretty good video in my opinion. I really like the scenes where they are just "performing". The shots and the sceneries are kind of nice.

Totally agree with you guys, those story-telling-videos are really bad. It also tokk me quit a while to understand Always. IMO their best video is still Wanted (both 1986 and 2001)

I love Sleep when I'm dead video!! BTBMB is great as well (is there any "What is the best BJ xxx?" question where my answer is not BTBMB??? LOL) I don't like the videos with extra actors, the band is enough. But IML was great!!

I love most of the vidoes that i have seen

Runaway is a pretty stock standard clip, the first time i saw it i almost fell off my chair because i hadn't seen so much hair on 3 guys right in front of the camera

In and out of love is a fun clip where they are just a bunch of guys up to no good and having a good time at it.

The hardest part is the night is a really good clip, i love how alec, jon and richie are at the front with their guitars, and the live sound as well.

Bad name is a fun live clip that captures their potential of a crowd having a good time.

Livin on a prayer is another fun live clip that i never get sick of watching, there isn't much i need to say about it. its livin on a prayer!

Wanted is a good song, although the clip doesn't stand out much from the others from slippery.

Never say goodbye (see wanted) but its still a good song, regardless of the clip

Wild in the streets is a fun live song and they just look like they are enjoying themselves in this clip.

Lay your hands was my favourite clip with all of the fire works and energy that the band produce, it is a good clip.

BTBMB is different to the others, how jon just says stop, lets do that again.

bad medicine is a "different" clip, i dont like it much, that fat guy at the start annoys me. somebody should trip him over.

Livin in sin, i have only seen the sensored version but it tells the story that fits the song.

I'll be there for you is like the slippery ones, but it still shows its power with the crowd hanging off the words, women crying, and stuff. it is a powerful live song.

I believe is my favourite clip, they "look like " they are having fun in the clip. but the mixture of all of the scenes is different to most of their other stuff to that date.

Keep the faith is just a great song, the clip has got the vibe that the song wants.

sleep when i'm dead is a great clip. the band look as though they are just going great guns with the fun factor.

in these arms is another live one, its good, the crowd like, jon looks as though he is enjoying it.

Dry county is a good clip, even though it has part of the second chorus and the guitar solo cut. but it stil maintains its grip on me.

always, well i'm not an always fan, but it tells the story.

well i'm getting too tired now so.

most clips from these days are good, especially these days.

crush; IML had a good clip, SIIS had emiellio estavez (what else do u want), OWN was a good fun clip (hughs first i think, other than runaway, i think)

everyday, well its a good song and its a good clip

geez i feel like i'm gonna go to sleeeeeeeeeeeee............................. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zP.

Hi, personally I think TAALS video is not so bad as you all think...It is a huge hit in Asia though. Ok, the story is something like that...

The guy in video is the veteran soldier from US or UK, he fought in WWII or vietnam war and met a local girl. He fell in love with her but he has to leave when the war is over (Or he has to continue fighting ). So he has to leave her.

When the war is over and he finally got a chance to come back, he came and look for that "girl". But instead he found out she is long gone (dead !) but has one child.. Who looks like her (or himself!)..it is his child 'cos that 'girl' was pregnant when he left her.........

So that is what is all about........
