i think it does depend on mood for some people (inc me)
sorry i cant say a favorite cause they are too many... but an amazing lyric i rediscovered the other day from blaze (santa fe)

So I save a prayer when I need it most
To the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
And sign it from a sinner with no name

i hadnt listened to blaze in a while. Jon should be so proud of that album imo

My favourite would be LOAP, as already stated above, it's the ultimate anthem, full of hope, got a woah in it, a great solo and what not. Who cares that the lyrics are reaaaaally cheesy and - actually - pretty bad.
I don't think the lyrics in Prayer are too bad, I am critical at times of Bon Jovi lyrics and songs but Prayer still stands up 20 years on for me. They are a tad cheesy (Particularly the chorus obviously) but on the whole they tell the story well. Much better lyrically than most recent efforts.

I have to agree about Say It Isn't So, can't stand the song but hey we're all different. I'd say joint worst single with Something For The Pain, 2 horrible songs, 2 horrible videos. Oh I almost forgot Real Life, Jesus that sucked!

Hmm I have too many so I'll just pick two from each CD I have, or the ones I listen to....

Bon Jovi - Runaway and Roulette
Slippery When Wet - Livin' On A Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive
New Jersey - Stick to your Guns and I'll Be There For You
Keep The Faith - Dry County and I Want You
These Days - (So hard to choose!) Something for the Pain and My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms
Crush - Its My Life and One Wild Night
Bounce - Undivided and Bounce
Have A Nice Day - Welcome to Wherever You Are and Bells of Freedom
100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong.... - Nobody's Hero and Love Ain't Nothing But A Four Letter Word
And from Crossroad - Always

All of these for pretty much the same reason, they're songs with either beautiful lyrics, a good story to get into, an interesting title, anthem like songs, or they're just plain fun songs. I really just like them all because I can get into them.

Well alright, alright
'Cause this time you know I ain't afraid to fight
For you I ain't afraid to die
As long as you are by my side it will be alright
When all faith is gone, I will pray for you
Just keep holding on, I'll be there for you

I can't really pin point one either, it's always changing really. Lately it's probably This Ain't A Love Song but SDIBSN, WITW and DC are always up there.

Not ONE song mentioned from the criminally underrated 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit?? Fine, let me be the first then.

My top five, in random order (but I reserve the right to any changes at any given time... ) :

Born To Be My Baby (Because of the immense drive and passion this song contains. Also, I have great memories of seeing the video for this for the first few times way back then...ah, the trap of nostalgia! lol)
Shot Through The Heart (Jon's vocal delivery comes straight from the heart, one of the strongest tracks on the debut IMO)
The Hardest Part Is The Night (This is such a forgotten gem! Along with Runaway, this was the song that introduced me to the band in the fall of 1985 and finally persuaded me to go and have a listen to Fahrenheit in a record shop in January 1986, only to buy it shortly thereafter.)
Dry County (Well, the guitar playing on this one is masterful, really. All in all it is such a well-arranged song, one to cherish time and time again.)
These Days (The lyrics are fine, the melody is even finer, the execution is top-notch; a definite keeper!)

I agree about the criminally underrated part. 7800 is one of my top BJ albums.

Oh, sorry about that! My weary eyes in the wee hours of this morning missed your mention of Only Lonely A GREAT song as well, btw, and actually THE song that made me want to by Fahrenheit twenty years ago (as I already had THPITN on tape by then) The video used to make me swoon too, lol, but I know you are dedicated to David so...
