Bed of Roses is offically about Jon's career. In the song he uses the analogy of his career as his mistress.
Yeah, but the whole point is his 'mistress' calls him away from the one he really loves- Dorothea, obviously. So it is a love song really

I never said it wasn't a "love" song. I just said that it's not something I would want played at my wedding. And while Jon wrote it from the perspective of his career pulling him away from Dorothea, you could also look at it as a song about cheating. It depends on your perspective and if you've been cheated on or not. At least that's how I always felt.

My wife and i just used thank you for loving me at our wedding...Our video guy is putting together a montage (i think that is how you spell it) of pictures of us at various ages growing up set to our wedding song, i can't wait to get the video back...

I also had the dj play richie's all that really matters. That is a beautiful song....
