Me and a buddy walked into a record store after school one day and they were cranking this really cool tune (happened to be Roulette), asked the clerk what was playing, she said, "Something new that just came in today". I remember her pronouncing Bon Jovi, as if it were french (Gawd knows why). She proceeded to show me the LP ... me and my buddy each purchased a record. I remember the clerks exact words as we were paying, "That was fast, Bon Jovi - SOLD OUT!" I guess they only got three copies in that morning, they opened one to play, and we bought the other two.
After that purchase, it was as they were released is the order I got them - sometimes early (from friends with advance copies), sometimes on the day of release, but never, ever, a day later.  It's funny when you look back, I can remember exactly where and when and what I listened to it on, for every release up until around Crush - great memories!! Now it's, "Where were you when you first got Bounce?" - "Well, I was sitting at my computer, and Everyday came through in an email from a friend in Germany" .... or, "I was sitting at my computer and I went to a file sharig site, and I was directed to a link where I could download the entire boxset." It's always, "I was sitting at my computer, I was sitting at my computer!" Man .... where have all the good times gone? Ciao!
