Not BJ: but i've found that when i've met my heroes i end up telling them at first how they are "God to me", and then if i get the chance i'll talk to them a little more...

i asked Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple and Black Sabbath) "How do you scream like that" semi-rhetorically - i got a 10 minute answer describing his daily routine... so now i KNOW how he screams like that!!!

It really depends on what circumstances I would be in. If I'd meet Jon on the street I would probably ask for a picture and tell him how much the band means to me and mumble a few more words because I would be very very very nervous.

If I'd get stuck with Jon in an elevator for a long time I'd probably calm down after 10 minutes and I would start rambling on and on how much I love their songs, how underatted These Days was, how great most of their bonus tracks are, i'd probably ask if they have the SWW demos in the vault in high quality, if there are studio recordings of them performing songs like We All Sleep Alone, You're Not My Lover, Notorious etc. , what was his favorite song from New Jersey that didn't make the record, do they have the KTF demos stored somewhere, I'd ask him why did they shut down the AXP program, what happened to his voice over the years, did he consider surgery for his vocal cords and probably many more questions.

I know that being in a situation where I could ask him so many questions is impossible but I like letting my imagination run wild .

With these questions Jon would've killed him before the elevator doors opened again

I thought Jon would be happier to have this kind of conversation instead of asking him the same old bs questions that he gets asked in every interview. He keeps saying that he likes the european crowds more because they know their verses not only the choruses of the big hits, so I wonder why wouldn't he be happy to see someone so passionate about whas he's done throughout his career.

These people are making assumptions. For all we know he would enjoy a conversation with a die hard fan. Don't believe they know any more about how Jon would react to your questions than you do.

There's a couple of questions I want to ask all my fav. musicians and leaders:

1. Is there anything that keeps you awake at night and if so, what? This isn't meant to be a probing question abut his personal life but I'd be interested to know what his priorities and concerns are.

2. If you could wind the clock back 3 years is there anything you would've done differently?

More specific to Jon - I don't think he'd be pleased or give an honest answer but I'd try
3. Do you think your latest material is your best work?

id ask JBJ why did he want to get away from his metal/rock roots so much from Crush upwards.

He'd argue its worked out well but Id point out theyre not on the same planet musically as they were between 84-96
