I am a huge Eric Clapton fan, and to me "Layla" just isn't the same without the Fender being used.

Whenever I hear it I always think of "Layla" in slow motion.

I grew up on the original Layla, knew the whole story, and ever since it came out way back when it's always been my ultimate favorite song.

However, I love Prayer '94. It sounds so pure and sweet when done acoustic. I will buy the CD, and hopefully love what they've done (otherwise, it goes in the never listen to stack of CD's) lol.

Pass on Bad Medicine, it would come out like Love For Sale, Sleep When I'm Dead acoustic.....we don't need more of those. I can see Wild In the Streets working well if it's re-worked quite a bit to put more focus on the heart of the song.

I hardly consider acoustic versions of the same overplayed songs as something special. Some people raved about Everyday (acoustic) on this board...after hearing it I thought it was a complete waste of time and still don't see why anyone thought it was so great. It's My Life seems to be a sure thing for this album and it better be completely reworked or I'm gonna say the same thing.

Acoustic versions of songs that didn't get much of a spotlight in the past and just all around fantastic acoustic performances is all I need to be happy.

Mystery Train was up for it originally...though that may have been scrapped with the Yokohama show. But i'd still like to see it make this album. It needs a chance to shine for what it is instead of people expecting something out of it that it isn't.

they released many acoustic versions of their songs in the past. they should record brand new acoustic versions of songs they didn't do this way, and release a limited edition with a second disc with these old versions everybody loves, like "born to be my baby", which is better than the original

Why ? It was available to download it on the old bonjovi.com, and it's easilty available by bootleg. I think you'll have it too, so please, no song like this in the album, though I'm about 99% sure they won't put it on this album.

I think there'll be a duet with Ray Davies on it, and like they said, some reworks. I hope they don't release another Sleep, Love For Sale or Prayer.

Maybe Something To Believe In and Living In Sin will make it, they played it a lot during the acoustic gigs, though I'm not so sure about Something To Believe In, it's a song from These Days...which explains why I don't think it will make it pretty good.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
