Yeah, I think the main problem with TLFR (apart from some of the reworkings being dreadful) was that it was marketed as a proper Bon Jovi release, and then the live songs made their way into the set. I have mellowed over time to the album, and some of the versions are not bad but it shouldnt have been more than a bonus disc to a live CD/new album as opposed to a full blown release.

Its almost a shame that TLFR and LH got a bit of a bad rap from fans as it would probably make BJ less averse to trying something different as the fans seemed to backlash against them doing something different. The worst thing they ever did with LH was say it was a country record they were recording as outside of some parts of the US, it gave critics a stick to beat them with, when in reality the album was not much different musically from recent Jovi offerings.

But on topic, but my recent WTF is also the playing of Santa Fe. Doing 8 shows at The O2 in the run, there was rare songs and expectations of full album nights and whatnot, but even in the wildest dreams and predictions, no one could ever have guessed that Santa Fe would have been played and I was privileged to be there to hear it.

The good WTFs:
-Releasing Crush and achieving to hook in a brand new generation of fans, it had not happened ever since SWW. That was something awesome!
-Releasing the 2004 Box Set! (It's just perfect, better than any other album)
-Richie releasing his third solo album! (Coming up soon...)

The bad WTFs:
-Richie's health getting really really bad.
-Not releasing the Acoustic Yokohama Stadium gig as originally planned but TLFR including the fact that they destroyed LOAP with Olivia d'Abo's inclusion.
-Touring all the time with Bobby Bandiera ever since 2005.-
-Richie not being able to tour some dates due to his rehab and Jon going on with the touring without him.

Greatest moments:

The fact they managed to make a huge comeback in 2000 and gain a new generation of fans. Thatīs still amazing.

The fact that they are continously around and very very popular despite of all the changes in the industry. Many of their peers are forgotten, but Bon Jovi refuses to fade away.

Hearing Wild Is The Wind live 3 times last summer.

This Is Love This Is Life.

We Werenīt Born To Follow.

Not so good moments:

TLFR didnīt convince me.

Jonīs voice problems.

02 for me,the prices. After paying less than a tenner to see them in 1985 when they were hungry no way was i going to pay over Ģ200 plus travel and time off work and hope they were going to be up for it on the particular night I chose. Then I pay Ģ90 to go GC for a show and find its further back than the Ģ45 i paid to stand behind GC at Twickenham as the prawn sandwich brigade have paid even more to stare up JBJ,s nose.
No real good WTF moments really since 2000 though. Some great shows but nothing spectacular really.

With djc referencing the O2 prices, a WTF was definitely my wife's face when she saw what row we were in....... Took me a year to pay that off the credit card!

I agree with a lot that's already been said. I'll just add a little.

Good WTF: Recording Who Says with Keith Urban
Bad WTF: Not releasing Who Says with Keith Urban (which would have led to a Cross Road with the two acts and it would have been so much better than the one with Sugarland)

Biggest negative WTF moment is every show I attended they didn't play ITA.

Biggest positive WTF moment is the release of the box-set. Not many artists got it right when releasing a box set. They definitely did.

The negative post-2000 WTF? When We Were Beautiful. In a word, ugly. In another word, inexplicable.

The positive post-2000 WTF? The greatly exaggerated rumors of Jon's death -- seriously!

Once I calmed myself down enough to actually read the story, it was like having a ten-ton weight lifted from my shoulders. Jon found alone and dead in a Asbury Park beachfront hotel that doubles as a gay hangout? Not bloody likely -- he has both too much money AND too much common sense to be that indiscreet. But I checked the major news sites just to be certain!
