Some bands do leak stuff on purpose. The whole of green days new album was available on their official site 2 weeks before it was released. I have learned that people will not change there minds when it comes to stuff like that. They obviously don't care about it, and don't think its stealing. Which it is.

Anyway, I do sometimes download songs from certain bands if someone recomends me them, only songs, not the album. I'm not going to buy an album just because someone recomended me it. Same with food. I'm not going to buy food someone recommended me, and hope it tastes good. I'm going to try it first: whether I try some at my friends house, or sample it at the store. But I can't ever recall downloading an entire album off the internet.

Nope, never. I don't do that, I occasionally download a CD just to hear if I like it, but every CD that I listen to on my computer is in my CD rack as well. I download a song every now and then to keep myself up to date with certain bands, but I wouldn't go out and buy the stuff anyway. And I certainly wouldn't go out hunting to get songs for free.

Is not that much of a issue, as kids you would borrow your mates tape and copy it, nothings changed. If the record companies were that fussed about they could easily close all these torrents down
No they couldn't, which is why it's not happening. Appearantly you don't know what you're talking about and have created your own truth in order to justify your own behaviour. But since I am in such a great mood today I'll explain it a little bit for you;

Some bands leak stuff on perpose most bands don't have it in their hands at all, and neither does the record company. If they really would be doing it themselves, why do bands no longer hand out realy promo CD's anymore and do journalists have to listen to a new album together in one big room? Why do CD's nowadays always leak 7 days before the initial release? Because it's the distributors that leak them, not the band or recordcompany. And if it leaked before that it's because someone at the recordcompany or in the camp of that specific band did something they were not supposed to do. Do you honestly think that a record company would say "We'll leak it on the 5th of April" when proper promotion can only be arranged around the date when it's in stores?

As kids you had 3 cassette tapes and listened to those 3 cassette tapes over and over again. And if you had enough of it you copied another friends tape over it. And if you didn't get enough of it you saved enough money and went out to buy the real thing. At least, that's what I did and how I was raised. And that's also how collectors start out. If you, like you said so, bought every damn thing out there, you'd have known that some stuff was released overseas or on special editions, and you'd have gone out and bought the thing.

Begging for a song by claiming you're a collector while not knowing what song is released and what isn't is not going to work for you.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Sebastian my good fellow, i am not saying i have every edition from other parts of the world. I started collecting jovi stuff in 1985 and roughly untill 95
i would go to record fairs all around the uk to add to my collection. I can probably say, my jovi collection stands at 250 - 300 of original records, cds, tapes, pic discs, Japanese imports etc.. As it stands i have reluctantly slowed down in the last 15 years or so, due to mortgage, kids etc.. Im talking about stuff like " slippery and NJ" sessions as an example to stuff not being COMMERCIALLY RELEASED ANYWHERE, that's the stuff im on about.

Then you were mentioning the wrong songtitles as examples of what you're looking for.

http://forum.bonjovi-archives.com/vi...hp?f=12&t=3769

is what you're looking for. No official stuff but outtakes and shitloads of bootlegs are being shared there.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

i already had them but I dont want to buy a whole album for 1 song.
I have bought EVERY album I own - all 600+ - If a mate lends me an album and I like it I buy it. If I dont like it then I delete it from itunes.
I worked for 6 years at the biggest music company in the world and lost my job thanks to c*nts who illegally download and people that do download illegally I hope they die from cancer of the eyes but I want 2 songs. If someone can tell me where to buy the 2 songs without buying the albums again then please let me know.

Just calm down. All you do is search for an excuse (common thing when it comes to illegal downloading). Until now I haven't met a person who is downloading illegally and who doesn't come up with an excuse for doing so like "otherwise I bought all albums" and "I lost it from itunes" - heard b4 over and over again. But as I said: Where you draw the line ? Are there the "good" illegal downloaders who buy 80% of their stuff ? Illegal stays illegal. Sorry bout yourjob though - but TBH illegal downloading is not the only reason for the music business to go down the toilet.

you are entitled to a freebie if the record company feels they should give you something for free, not if they don't

if you already have the album why do you need to DL the songs, just rip them from your album again
