I don't think anything went wrong with the album. It is my joint second favourite Bon Jovi album.

A lot of the younger fans will love the new stuff. The older fans won't like the new stuff as much. Younger fans won't care for the older stuff as much, the older fans love the old stuff. I feel like it has to do with age and poor album sales were do to the fact that their aren't as many young fans.

It's true the songs won't be classic songs like prayer and bad name did ... But I do think both Crush and Bounce are good albums ... They are different to the other ones but aren't bad for me ! I must confess I wasn't that excited about Bounce in the beginning but the more I listen, the more I appreciate the album. I didn't thought it then but I really like it now !!!!! I loved Crush immediately ! There are a few songs that are less but many many songs which I love so good album to me !!!

At least Bounce had some kind of continuity thematically. Unlike Crush where they were throwing themselves from one theme to another without any reasons. Ballads screw everything up.

But I don't believe all I wrote before is the reason Bounce failed commercially. The reason here is they weren't able to pick good singles.
...erm, didn't it get to #2 in the UK album charts (don't know about other countries)...held off only by Elvis.

You mean they should write things just to please people like yourself, and that would indeed be selling out...writing songs in a specific style just to make money.

After These Days they took a break to work on solo projects and they didn't have to come back to continue as a band, but they did. They have produced these albums because they wanted to, and have written them how they want to; not how anyone else wants them.

Crush is my favourite, and Bounce is ahead of some of the others in my opinion, but obviously everyone has different opinions, and they are entitled to them.

no it wasn't meant taht serious. just meant because record companies always want bands to fit to the younger audience even the older ones have more money. not that bon jovi should really make albums just to please older or younger fans or the ones in between I`m not that old
