I think bounce it's a great album, the choice of singles was very poor, had undivided been a single it would have sold a lot more by publicity only but I understand why they didn't want to go there, missunderstood was actually a wise choice for a single, but the standout track The distance should have definetly been a single, that would have sold a lot more, I thought they were gonna put it out as a single given the response it got on the Carson Daly show and on tour but apparently the Cheessies ballad on the album was the "big hit" they wanted to go with.

Thats the long way of saying Yes it was about the bad choice of singles.

well i like 3 songs on bounce. and on
crush i like all songs except 3! even
the ones i like cannot compare with
their older records, but bounce was for
me really disappointing. maybe the
lyrics are better than on crush, but
words don't make a good record.

you might be right. the prob is the band isntīchossing them it`s the stupid record company they don`t let the guys choose the singles they want to. they said that in several interviews wish they`d change it

if that is really true (which i doubt), then they simply have to change the record company. shouldn't be too hard for a band like them to find a new record company!

well I`m no expert. but jon said on some interviews that he certanly didn't choose All about loving you as single. and dave and tico said in an interview that they can`t choose the singles they want. they do choose some but the record company just doesn`t let them release what they really want. like the were so suprised they could release dry county. or they wanted to make singles out of songs that are really popular live but the record company just say no way!

for changing, don't know why they don't but I suppose they are all that bad

I imagine it to be like the record company simply just gets the final say, the band have a lot of input, I imagine a band like BJ must have, but the final say in singles just simply goes to the record co. and what they think the pulic will buy and listen to.
also it wouldn't be that easy to change record companies, I don't imagine Universal would be to eager to drop Bon Jov given what they sell each year in their whole catalog of album sales(specially with SWW and Crossroads).
Do you think if Def Leppard didn't have that album catalog behind them they would still be in Universal given what they sold with X?I don't.
But i'm no expert so Who the hell knows??

Makes the record companies think they have power - and they do, just TOO MUCH unfortunately.

The distance sucks its the worst song on bounce . If they had realeased that instead of everyday i wouldnt have bought it and would not be a bon jovi fan right now.

a few points:

daves keys are all over crush and i suggest u decrease ur crack intake if u dont think so.

theres very few loops on crush. k its my life and 2 story town and probably a few more that i cant remember but theyre what, a couple of measures each? why even bother about them and they actually sound alright IMO

if i had a 5 year old kid that could write songs like that then i'd be rolling in it, and besides, songs should appeal to people. id rather hear easy wrote stuff that i can listen to and get into than have some tit like steve vai jizzing all over himself. simple songs r always the best with bohemian rhapsody and bat out of hell being 2 very rare exceptions.

older people have more money but younger people buy more records, simple as that.

Default what

bitch bitch bitch thats all you people do on here and i think some of us should be sick of it.. every album is different because it would be boring to have 9 albums thats sound the same huh....ie ac/dc. Eveything they did sounded the same as the last so shut up about these stupid topics, everyone likes jovi for different reasons and likes albums a little more than others! So listen to the albums and stop write the same crap over and over again.
All bon jovi stuff ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bye
