I always heard it as post New Jersey pre KTF. It just sounds so 80s to me.

What album was 'Let's Make It Baby' written for? It should have been on an album.

That is all.......
Keep The Faith has some weird stuff. It's really hard to see how Save A Prayer it's from the same project (I love the song btw).

I Want You it's another song that you realize that needed some additional work. I love the verses and the bridge but the chorus really kills the song.

Could it be that for KTF Jon's vision was stronger than the songs he delivered...? He was writing alone a lot because of Sambora working on his solo record and maybe they just let too many songs on the album....? With "Save A Prayer" (which was part of the european version - and one of my all time fav Jovi songs!) this record is over 70 minutes! It was Jovi's longest album at that time, mainly because of cd era I guess...They should've cut a few songs from there. Its almost like a double album (which was also Jon's vision)....that being said "I want you", "Woman in Love", "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" and "Blame it..." were always fillers to me.

KTF was originally intended to be a Double Album...

Simon Bates on Radio1 previewed several songs from KTF before the album dropped. I remember tuning in with my tape recorder ready (1992 - no internet) and actually missing the start of I Believe as it just didn't sound like a Bon Jovi song. Only when Jon screamed "yeah" did I realise.

Honestly, that was my fav era with the band. They were hungry, looked cool as ****, were IMMENSE live, and had just released a classic album.

You could walk into HMV and see life size cardboard JBJ's. They were all over the front covers of magazines. Always on the radio.

Loved it. Sorry for going off on a tangent.

Oh yeah, they managed to have a really strong comeback with updated music, looks and publicity. Everything had changed in music after they went on hiatus in 1990 and when they released Keep The Faith in 1992.

Ahhh the tape recorder and songs on the radio....Brings back memories. Yet another awesome thing kids today will never know. Just like walking into an actual record store to buy an album, then taking it home listening to it and reading the booklets. Something about it, those days are missed.
