Except for the fact that you'd be sitting there watching him instead of whatever it is you look at when you listen cds.

I saw David perform when he did the Atlantic City Expressway Reunion show a couple of years ago at a local bar in Asbury Park, NJ. He did some band songs and solo songs and I thought he was great, very animated and entertaining.

That's like saying there's not much difference in a Bon Jovi show than listening to their CDs. He could interact with the audience, change or add to songs, throw in covers, bring out a special guest... whatever. I think Dave would be a great entertainer because he's so talented and has a quick wit.

I'd like for another Richie solo cd. But since I didn't get to see them this tour I kinda want a band show as soon as possible.

Seeing Richie on a solo tour/show has been one of my biggest BJ dreams for ages. If this happens, I will be the happiest person on earth!

I also attended a solo Richie show back when he was touring with Undiscovered Soul - it was good but not outstanding.
I'm sure a solo Jon show would be similar - the spark just isn't there solo, but put them together and that's when the magic happens.
Hmmmm which shows did you see this year?? At all the UK ones IBTFY got a great reception with the crowd singing for a long time after the song finished.

Id still rather see the band tour, although It wasnt as easy a question to answer as I thought it would be. I def wanna see a Richie Solo tour at some point though, the problem I have is that I love the Stranger CD but arnt too keen on US.

Yeah, I guess so...but when I think about Dave's music I realize I am not literate enough to realize what he would add to the songs. On the other hand, if it was a concert where he would sing then I would guess he might be fun. Otherwise, whenever I went to a philaronics I had the feeling that I listened to the music at the radio so that's how I would imagine a David piano concert.

And if you have seen any of the footage from Giants Night 3 - Richies solo in IBTFY was blistering, and very intense. Once again - maybe because I was on the floor - but I didn't see anybody's attention wandering or feel a lull in the concert. When it was over all you could say was - wow.

Kathleen

Wow, Ive heard other people mention Atlantic City. I'd love to see this, is a bootleg exists....

Yeah the solo during Giants 3 was pretty amazing. It just seemed to go on forever! Was actually nice to see Heather and Eva in the pit...
