I like the music in country songs. I just hate how blatantly and insultingly obvious the lyrical content is, what with their dogs, tractors, and beer. I like music that can have multiple meanings. Country music tends to lack the ambiguity.

Seriously, who can relate to ?

And this. This is country music at it's stereotypical apex.

Haha believe me, I love my Cohens and my Dylans just as much as the next guy but, tractors and dogs aside, there's something nice about simple lyrical content sometimes, don't you think? Sometimes I just want to lay back and listen to 'Can't Help Falling In Love' over 'I Want You', y'know?

Like who?

I don't know any rock band that did that.

Not a full ballad album but X by Def Leppard got pretty darn close. I still like that album btw...

What? The albums 2 tracks that you could classify as ballads, Long Long Way To Go and Let Me Be The One. The rest are either pop songs or rock songs.

You could call Unbelievable and Goodbye ballads as well.

Yeah I guess that could be true. I guess I just classified Unbelievable, Everyday, Love Don't lie as ballads as well. I just remember the album having such a slow and easy listening flow throughout...

Goodbye is on Euphoria. And I wouldn't call Unbelievable a ballad. If that's a ballad, then WAN is a ballad album.

Oh yeah. My bad.

Unbelievable is a ballad because they used to play it on the store radio system at the place where I worked.

Euphoria Rocks!! Man I remember when I first bought it, I thought "Damn! DL are stuck in the 80's!" And I just neglected the album for a couple of years. Then I went back to listen to it for what it is and BAM! 11 class songs on an album isn't too shabby at all!!
