I tried to get on the page earlier but it said I needed to upgrade media player, yet I have the latest version

Use IE instead. That worked for me Neil.

I have been able to get stuff from aol before but recently they have gotten far more difficult to rip. I will do what I can. I was able to rip their advertisement for the show tonight earlier today and I assume that it will be shown in the same window.

The footage is going to be available on AOL Music for a while won't it? Like the Live8 stuff?
