Always for me. Brilliant song by a band in their prime. I remember the video being played over and over again. I still love this song live despite not sounding as strong vocally etc. Epic with the solo outro.

To me, it's Never Say Goodbye JUUST over Always.
In all honestly, NSG, Always, BOR, TAALS, and IBTFY are all pretty close I my book.

Always #1, and I'll Be There For You a clear 2nd choice. Jon always says you need to feel the hurt on the best ballads. Both of these fit the bill.

Probably Bed of Roses with Always as a VERY close second. The lyrical content in Bed of Roses sends shivers down my spine every time. The entire song is true poetry. That's the kind of lyrics Jon can't write anymore, sadly.

I picked Always, but it was a hard choice. I could have just as easily voted for Bed of Roses. Lie to Me always gets to me too.

By the way, how comes it that Letting You Go was no option? If Lie To Me is seen as a ballad, the Letting You Go certainly is one. I've always loved Letting You. The lyrics are stunning.

Always hands down. I remember hearing it on the radio back in 94 and I was hooked. Never looked back since. Will always (see what I did there) be my favourite ever song.

If it was I'd have been hard pressed to choose between that and I'll Be There For You.
