When did Bon Jovi edit end of video for She Don’t Know Me?

Watched this video on Apple Music today and the end of the video is different from the original. I checked YouTube and the VEVO official Bon Jovi version has same edit.

The original end had JBJ exiting bar and confronting the thugs and one of the thugs put a broken bottle to JBJ throat and then car chic points gun at thugs and they let him go and she makes a finger gun at JBJ then gets in the car.

In the one now, that part is cut out with band singing and cuts back in right after she puts gun down.

Anyone know when/why this was done?

That's interesting. I'd be very suprised if they'd done a new edit, I expect that there was probably 2 version of the video at the time, one for day time TV which removed the gun and the label used the masters for the censored version when digitising the video. Just a guess tho....

I'm sure there were two versions of the video online years ago, so it's probably not a new edit

TAALS also had a kid's cut on YT for years. Maybe it's even still on there. So probably just different edits.
