The first time I heard Bad Medicine. I remember I was sitting on the floor in my bedroom and had the radio on when they did their battle between new songs. I had liked Bad Name, Prayer, Wanted, and Never Say Goodbye, but when I heard Bad Medicine it was a revelation. I thought it was the best song ever and it got me more interested in the band than I had been before.

I was in HS when I started drooling over a guy that looked like Jon. He showed up with this denim duster that was made of shreded jeans that made me want him in a way that was not what a good girl should want. I knew who they were, but one afternoon we cut class an took a ride in his car, played Bon Jovi, found a quiet spot... He was sweet, no clothes came off, we ended up cuddling in the front seat of his car. When his mom found out that he had cut class she sent him to live with his dad in Seattle. We had a grand total of two weeks, but we thought we were in love.
Bon Jovi has held a special place in my heart since then.

Hearing Lay Your Hands on Me - booming out of my (then) teenage sons room after New Jersey was released. I swiped his disc - I'm not sure I ever gave it back LOL.

huh...I don't really know. The first BJ song I remember was I BELIEVE. I remeber loving the enerfy in the video. Back then I was already an Aerosmith fan but I din't know much of Bon Jovi. Then I remember first seeing the Someday I'll Be Saturday Night video and I thought it's a great song. I must admit I din't like Crossarod very much in the beginning. These Days came and there I was, a Bon Jovi fan after being an Aerosmith fan and a Guns N' Roses fan before. After hearing Keep The Faith and New Jersey I knew this was the best band out of the 3.
Oh, and I consider Wanted Dead Or Alive to be the best song written in the 80s by far...

I remember seeing their videos and hearing their music in the early to mid 90's when I was younger. I had Crush for my birthday in 2000 after hearing It's My Life, but didn't really fall in love with their music untill I heard New Jersey later that year and I was just blown away. I've since bought all their albums and every other release post-2000 I've bought on it's release day.

So I guess I've been "in love with the band" for 5+ years.

Default My first exposure to greatness

I first saw Bon Jovi when they performed on American Bandstand...must have been 1983 or 1984 and I have loved them ever since![COLOR=Magenta]
