If the band still dressed like they did in the 80's, they would probably be filed under the 'where are they now' catagory!

To be honest, I don't look that much at their outfit. If you would ask me directly after a show what Jon or Richie wore, I couldn't tell you.

I think Jon has tried to smarten himself up so he can slip into the governer (political) role much easier from a public point of view he doesnt want to be viewed as an aging rocker...

I do prefer the older clothes, but at the end of the day dont really care what he wears when he sings like he just has this tour.

I prefer the clothes they wear now(not even that bothered as long as the music is good).

I did love the red-long jacket Richie wore during Hyde Park 2003, the Beatles jacket. That was cool

Come to think of it, Jon did have a few items in common with Ricky Martin on his wardrobe around the One Wild night tour.

But that tour Jon's clothing choices were pretty crazy lol.

They should wear whatever they're comfortable with. But Jon looks hot (not just ****ing pretty) for the first time in years. I guess I like him with darker hair and wearing various shades of black. I also don't have a problem with him looking like Ricky Martin (though personally I've never made that connection) as long as he doesn't start singing Ricky Martin.

yeah, military jackets are well in fashion again, i have a few myself.
my point is, its okay to keep up with the times. in the 2000's , 60's, 70's and 80's clothes became fashionable again. when i say JBJ became to smarten himself in the way he dresses up, im not suggesting he should wear the same pieces of thread he used back in 86. But there are certainly better clothes to wear these days than those long sleeve pink shirts which make him look like , again, ****in ricky martin

and yeah, richie's still wears some kick ass clothes. david on the other hand...

yeah i know what you mean when i look at his older styles i think he definitely dressed more interestingly! ok thats prob not even a word lol

i dont think his image now is anything spectacular clothes-wise. But as some of you already said that could be cos of his age i dont know. i know this isnt about his hair colour but in my opinion he suits blonde much more and looks younger even with his blonde hair and i would like to see him go back to blonde!!!

But when he was on stage at coventry he had like a little black leather waistcoat on and it was open except for a few buttons and he didnt have anything else on top so i saw all his chest and his well rippling muscles and was amazed how fit he is!!!

xx amanda xx

So i guess he looks great in or out of his clothes hehe

I don't think they do too badly - I like the military jackets and all that. Richie does seem to wear some godawful pairs of jeans though IMO, like the dreadful pair at Hyde Park and Twickenham (first night).

I've been hankering after a gold blazer a la Richie at Live Earth for the last year - and apparently topshop have answered my prayers (for the princely sum of £75)...

But yeah, I would agree with kenobi_on_a_prayer, Jon does look good in black.
