It's just one of my pet peeves. It annoys the hell out of me to hear him sing that wanTED. It practically ruins the song. It's not important in the grand scheme of things, but that's why it's called a pet peeve. It's not like Richie's the lone person who has given me a linguistic pet peeve. My history teacher in high school continually referred to CaTHOLicism as CathoLICism. My mother and many other people say ChiCARgo for ChiCAgo. There's a trend to call Atlanta HOTlanta which I think sounds totally stupid. My friend Colleen always called her PURSE a POCKETBOOK. A pocketbook is something that goes inside a purse. Just a pet peeve--something that might annoy one person and another person may not even notice.
