Jon said Richie never contacted him or Tico or Dave. Richie says he reached out to Tico when he was recovering from his surgeries and asked if his mom needed help during one of the hurricanes that hit NJ. A couple of months after he left, he implied that negotiations were underway and that while it was too soon to make it to the Hyde Park concert, he might return in the fall. Rumors say that Jon's terms were unacceptable to Richie.

At this point it is moot to speculate or ponder. Bon Jovi is continuing and doing fine without him.
