It is part of it....though I don't think he's lacking confidence. He was always more humble yet letting loose when performing in the past. After 2000....it was so common to him that it all be became 2nd nature rather than feeling his way as he goes. He became...over-confident I would say. And as a result..a tendency to go on auto-pilot.

You know - I have a hard time believing that Jon would have a confidence problem. If it were lack of confidence I think that he would tend to avoid concerts that he didn't have to sing at, he certainly would avoid live webcasts where the whole world can hear him screw up. I kinda think that he feels - this is what I sound like - take it or leave it.

On the other hand no matter how much success you have had I suppose confidence could be an issue. That we will probably never know though.

Kathleen

i think his voice was fine in 2000, 2001 OWN Tour was ok aswell... Example... In These Arms sounded ok, as did Prayer in 2001, however.... as soon as the Bounce Tour came along it was hit or miss, many of the Stadium shows were ok, but when the summer tour came along....it started to get ugly...

Alpine Valley and Toronto Webcasts? ouch!

That's exactly what's going on. On Crush DVD it's very obvious. Some of the vocal errors are so apparent and they were just left sitting there unedited (like scream on ILBTFY) . No bullsh*t. I like it.

I think his singing has been very consistent during last 4 years. People who are afraid to face reality regarding his voice will eventually have to do it - and either take it or leave it.

You think you are so smart, aren't you? When in reality you are very transparent and all your pointless chatter comes because you are not able to accept what's going on. The 90s are over.

You obviously think you are smart. Instead of really discussing things the only thing you do over here is saying how much you like Jon's voice now and that we should deal with everything because we can not change it.

That's close. Jon's voice is the way Jon's voice is. He lost some of his range and vocal power. It's gone forever. Deal with it. Stop concentrating on things he cannot do and concentrate on things he can do, or something. He still can improve his songwriting. That's for sure.

P.S. His voice is still okay overall.

I'm observant and well aware that Jon's voice as it is for the most part since 2000 is NOT what he is capable of or him doing his best. It is not physical limitations that are causing this. The evidence is there. It has nothing to do with the 90s being over...unless having any amount of soul in your vocal delivery is now passe.

You on the other hand simply hope Jon reads your puckered up posts and leaves Dorothea for you.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm hoping for.

The evidence is there? What evidence are you talking about?
