I've got pretty much all CD singles released in Europe, some Japanese stuff, some American stuff and some rare special editions containing songs released on no other disc. I pre-ordered the Japanese edition of The Circle thinking I'd get good bonus material again, but in the end really no extra songs were released. The piss poor documentary didn't help much either, although I think the DVD had some bonus material.

Now I used to buy their previous albums even when I only liked about 4 songs, but the Circle was the first album absolutely ruined by production and Jon's incapability of actually recording a natural studio vocal. It's the first Bon Jovi album I find absolutely unlistenable. I've completely ignored all singles and promo material for the Greatest Hits, and still need to see how this app for the cover of What About Now works, as I don't have it either.

Sebastiaan

Do what I do and just print the cover. It works fine with that, but there's not much to see.

I own all the official albums apart from the latest GH and WAN. Most CD singles and some bootlegs. Can't be bothered with the new stuff, it's all been crap for quite a while now.

That works? I didn't know that. That makes the concept of it rather silly, as it's supposed to be something you can only get when you buy the actual album.

Still, well, I'd do that if I was actually interested.

Dont own any David Albums.
Didnt buy the albums with the 4 bonus live tracks - but i do have the live tracks.
Didnt buy the blu-ray they released.

I was lucky as I got a lot of imports, promos, boxsets, dvds etc from my 6 years at Universal.

I bought the US Cross Road about 10 year ago solely for "Prayer '94" as it was cheaper than the "Always" single that had it. I don't really like having to re-buy stuff I already have, but it was just cheaper and easier this way. "Saturday Night" had "Good Guys..." but I'd already had the box set by then.

Also, I never owned the 1998 remasters of Keep the Faith or These Days as the originals had all the bonus tracks. My KtF was a reissue of the Japanese version which had "Starting All Over Again" and it sounds better so I had no reason to get the remasters.

I was the same with you, Seb on The Circle with expecting bonus tracks on the Japan release, as I missed that opportunity with Have a Nice Day. But all we got extra was WWWB, which I watched once and was bored throughout. I didn't dislike the album though. What About Now on the other hand, I still hate myself for investing in the Japanese version.

I don't own anything anymore.

I put all the music I did own onto file and sold it all, singles, DVDs, albums, posters, books, programs, the lot. I got to the stage where I was too old for all that crap, so I sold the lot to a friend who only has a passing interest in Bon Jovi actually.

100 quid I made, but I know there was enough stuff there to make a hell of a lot more than that.

What do I have left...

I guess I have What About Now in a way because I bought it for my son last year. I also have a few guitar books and some old magazines, some tickets, a couple of backstage passes, and nothing else.

Official Albums:

- Record - the first 5 albums up to and including KTF

- Tape - All up to and including Crush

- CD - All (2 copies - One for home and one for car)

I used to buy the US version on release day and then after, purchase the Japan editions for the bonus tracks. I would then put the US version in my car.

Luckily, there was a few independent record stores in my area so I was able to do this starting with KTF and then once the internet took over, I did this until HAND. After HAND, i just purchased the US version and kept a burnt copy in the car due to the lack of bonus material (and interest).

Even with their latest release, WAN, I still have a burnt copy in the car, although I don't really listen to CDs anymore. Everything gets ripped to my phone / PC. Now I'm converting / storing everything in a Cloud.

Also, albums prior to KTF were purchased in a store and then the car copies were purchased from BMG/Columbia House at a discount after the fact (old school folks know what this is).

CD Singles-

Too many to list but I have the first few albums on record, then tape, then CD. This includes most imports especially if bonus tracks were included. Only one copy of each.

Same with Soundtracks and Compilations.

Once the internet become more popular, and the quantity and quality of material went down, I pretty much stopped collection singles and compilations. For example, This Is Our House remains unpurchased.

However with that said, there really wasn't much to collect after HAND. We were spoiled with the amount of material that came from Crush and Bounce singles.

- Bootlegs

Was never into in real time because of the quality. I purchased some from independent store but not a whole lot.

I got a little more into it once the internet became popular but even with endless options, I kept it to special key shows and appearances. Mostly all Soundboards and then just key shows.

- Special Editions

The only one I own is that Box-Set with all the live bonus tracks.

Band Material:

Bon Jovi - Everything
JBJ - Everything
Richie - Everything
Dave - Nothing (official or downloaded) Can't stand his voice.

Video:

Everything..... expect the GHs videos (I did rip all the official videos from YouTube.)

Jon's Movies - All

But you're not too old to post on this board?

See, I don't look at it like that. It's a 30 year hobby. Some people play golf, some collect coins, I collect official Bon Jovi material. I keep it all in a case and one day, I'll display it all as a conversation piece. 20 years from now when all this shit is considered extinct, I could reflect back.

I also have a kick-ass concert tee collection.

- Many singles. Didn't buy any after Lost Highway and don't have any pre-KTF-singles.
- GH and TLFR (lost it).
That might be it. Oh and neither do I own any David stuff.

I felt the HAND era was already lacking serious bonus material, as all live tracks were available already anyway, in pretty much the same quality as well. Once Welcome To Wherever You Are was released as a single and I noticed what bonus tracks were tagged on the CD I remember thinking "it's just no longer worth it". I think it was that single that made me no longer want to collect things. The Crush bonus disc was great, but it's also the last great bonus disc they did. The HAND tour edition just lacked that spark.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
