I recall when Keep the Faith came out there was a sharp intake of breath from many fans with comments like Jon cut his hair, the 'new' sound is to modern , at this point many fans turned their back...

KTF was a different sound from the earlier rock albums that everyone wet wild over and were blasting out of their car cassettes !!!!! ...I could still hear the rock in KTF.... Dry County being the classic, bed of roses and KTF ... even I believe had strong elements... It was a newish sound but worth Keeping the Faith for...

With Crush .....My heart first sank... the rock sound was missing and had gone over to pop except for perhaps One Wild Night. Since then on the 'rock' sound apart from maybe a few songs its been 'POP' ever since...

I can appreciate their 'pop' sound but when you've had the 'rock' its difficult to then live off the pop alone...

Why has this happened ? ...Jon has recently said he doesnt want write the down songs and wants to write up lifting songs = 'happy pop' songs ...
