Rarities for me. I don't really care about album cuts like If That's What It Takes or (It's Hard) Letting You Go. Sure, it'd be nice to hear those tracks live but not at the sacrifice of:

Ooo, between These Days and rarities. I have to go with TD though. Hearing Something To Believe In alone would make me orgasm. To hear the whole album! Yeah, have to go with that. God, I love that album...

Do I get to pick the rarities or do I take what I get? As long as I got to pick them (see Seb's post - not all rarities are created equal) I'd go for the rarities. I have heard a few These Days tracks live (certainly not all) but while I'd love those too I'd go for the rarities.

I think the difference between the die-hard and casual fan is the desire to hear "greatest hits" at the show. I notice no one here has picked greatest hits so far. But I can't help but laugh when I remember the poor guy behind me bellowing, "Play something I know!" when the guys played all of Lost Highway in Newark. Granted, Lost Highway isn't These Days, but I doubt that guy would have been happy to hear all of TD either.

I don't know about that totally. There's certainly a lot of Jovi songs that I could live with never hearing live again, but if I went to a full show and didn't get Prayer or Wanted, I'd be immensely pissed.

In any case, this is a ****ing impossible topic Dave, at least for someone whose never heard ANYTHING from TD live (minus Richie singing the title track) That being said, the ability to pick ANY twelve tracks from the band's career is incredibly tempting. I'll have to think about this.

I may be the odd ball out but I don't think I'd pick any of the three choices.

As much as I like TD, I don't think I'd want to hear some of them live because they would bore me ie. If That's What It Takes, Hearts Breaking Even, Diamond Ring.

I don't think a majority of the rarities is not something I would want to hear either with the exception of a few here and there.

I've seen and heard the greatest hits performed over and over. Ever time I go to a show, I never get tired of hearing the likes of Prayer and Wanted.

A mix and match of the three would be the most ideal for me.

The winner gets to pick the rarities or even the greatest hits for thier own show but if they pick a song clearly outside the parameters Tico will use chaindrive double bass pedals on thier solar plexus till they cry for thier mommy.

mmmm this is difficult... I love the rarities and listen to these the most alongside TD so Im torn.. Do the rarities mean more to me than TD = NO ... so TD it is... Something and Bitter Wine cliches it as this is what I would look forward to the most.
